Cousins to Denver?
#21
Everyone seems to be overlooking the Jets who have more cap space than anyone desperate for a QB except for Cleveland and we all know that Cousins will not be signing there.

Cousins might not win you a Super Bowl, but a team with him on it def. can.

Thats about as good as we are going to get with what is out there.

second best option would be Sam, but say for $5-8 million per year less, thats a risk. especially if youre only a few pieces away (which could be addressed with smart FA pick ups and good draft picks)

Sure would mock the notion that winning is important to him.

Well to be fair, most people are overlooking the Jets because well they are the Jets. There is a lack of stability there.

Regardless what players say before they go into the market, money always ends up talking.

yes, it makes good ink and sounds good, but once the agent sits down, it is about the money.

That was my point earlier in the thread: "Wanting to win" is typically a euphemism for "best contract offer." And it's so stupid. Every time I see a player put a few dollars over winning I just wanna shake 'em. There's a lot of money to be made in winning. Post season honors, endorsements, licensing...

More speculation on Cousins to Minny.... at least from this guy.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/kir...li=BBnba9I

I love that he starts his talk on Cousins by tearing him down... really gives me a warm and fuzzy.

"Cousins is out of Washington mainly because he wasn't as efficient as coach Jay Gruden wanted him to be in a system designed for efficiency. Cousins hasn't been able to shake his turnover habit in key games, leading to consistent double-digit interception totals as a starter."

anybody think that Zim is going to be impressed by a QB that is knocked for his turnovers at critical times?

Cousins isn't leaving Washington since he wasn't capable of getting the job done. He is leaving since Dan Snyder's ego couldn't accept the fact that their 4th round pick was a viable solution after they traded 2 future 1st round picks and a 2nd. Once he wasn't able to cross that bridge and sign Cousins to an extension the whole franchise tag saga started. Although Kirk and his agent have held out for the maximum amount of money possible, he didn't owe Snyder anything after the way he was treated.

I find it funny that a few Denver defensive players have mentioned how Cousins could put them over the top.  I know Denvers offense struggled last year but with defense was equally as bad.
