Cousins to Denver?

There is still a long ways to go before Cousins gets free from the Redskins. But I think common sense would at least lead you to believe the Broncos are going to be in play for Kirk. They have a team that is ready to win now, a GM who has proven to be a strong recruited, and they did something similar with Manning.

But to say its more likely than not he signs there is a reach. There will be plenty of suitors for Kirk and Denver doesn't look nearly as attractive if they need to gut the roster to make the appropriate cap space.

Is Denver really that much more ready than they were say 2 years ago? Seems to me that team has lost a lot of mojo on defense after Manning left. Not sure they have all the complimentary weapons on offense to lure Cousins either.

I could see any of the Florida teams making a play for him along with Arizona, KC, Buffalo, Denver, or us for that matter.

How do you see KC making a run on him?  Are they just in the business of throwing #1s away?

Arizona, Denver and Us are probably it.  Really it' probably Denver or Washington.

No doubt. It's more speculation without much substance as usual. Hence the question mark on my part. It's an agenda driven headline. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. Off season is coming so more speculation will be too.

Wouldn't be the first time...Paxton Lynch ring a bell?

Denver's definitely going to go hard after him. Teams always do the opposite of what they did last time that didn't work, and in Denver's case it was drafting Paxton Lynch in the 1st round. They'll try to solve it this year by trying to sign a veteran. And Elway's the kind of GM who's willing to go big to get him.

However, this time last year, the whole city was convinced they were going to get Tony Romo.

I am kind of at a loss as to how Denver is in a win now mode?

I guess because their defense is not too bad you can make that argument.

But they definitely are not positioned better than the Vikings.

If Cousins really wants to win (as he stated) then the Vikings have to be high on his list of potential destinations.
