Who gives us best chance to win? Cousins or one of the current 3?

A better QB is better, and makes our chances of a SB better.  You just have to weigh it against the expense of having an extra really good player.

Correct, my friend!  "B" is a seasoned vet.  So why does one season qualify "A" as nothing more than a "game manager"?  How does anyone know "A's" numbers won't improve?

And BTW, 13 interceptions and 13 fumbles is a huge flag.  But Case is the reckless "gunslinger"???

I would sooner take the money that we would pay Cousins and invest it in the Offensive Line.
I think that Zimmer would be happy with just a game manager.
yup i think he would too. and i think that will prevent us from being the team we should be.

two of the top 15 WR's in the league.
Cookie coming back
top 5 defense still young.

i fear we peaked with this team this season, because our QB cannot elevate us in the playoffs. our defense has to be HISTORICALLY good to make it in the playoffs, these Elite QB's find ways to beat good defenses.
foles is far from an elite QB but he had no problem with our great defense.   jacksonville had a damn nice run with an average QB as well.  a better OL will not only elevate our QB play, (case was often hurried out of the pocket)  but it will make our running game much more potent as well.

Foles played the GAME OF HIS LIFE.

and everyone who watches football knows that Jax was hindered by it's QB play.

that's your argument? that the teams did everything they can to pull their crappy QB to the superbowl?

look at the teams that are always there. most of the time they have a really really good QB.

Look what Warner did for the cards, what farve did for us in 09. how Seattle became Seattle when they got Wilson.

and seattle is crumbling after the had to start paying wilson mega bucks,
IIRC Favre didnt get us any closer than Keenum just did so....

cousins isnt a top level QB but he is going to get payed like one.  bortles wasnt to far behind cousins in terms of stats this year so?  there are no QBs available that compare to Warner, Favre or even Wilson to say Cousins in the same argument is laughable.

The Vikings ran more than any team in the NFL (pretty unsuccessfully at that)... that speaks volume to INT numbers. Team didnt wan't him to throw the ball.

I'm not saying Case is any better than Cousins.  Yes, he has a stronger arm and is a better deep ball passer.  But he hasn't been on the Browns and has had some very good WR's.  He's been in 1 1/2  playoff games, so it's not like he's this proven post-season asset.

If we could land him for a reasonable contract, fine.  But to back the Brinks truck up to his house is something that leaves me scratching my head.  As someone else posted, why is Wash. so willing to let him go for the likes of Alex Smith?

sigh, Wilson got paid because he got that team where they could not with an average QB.

and you're going to use stats when this entire thread you've said stats dont matter, just your gut?

ok then.

Because QB A has a stat line of 3,023 yards at a 56.7 CMP% with 15 TD and 9 INT's over 16 games prior to this season. That scream regression. QB B has had a similar stat line the last three seasons. You'd arguably be paying additional money to hedge your risk against regression.
