Good argument to start Teddy now

You just can't get this type of insight any old place...

The Vikings have a good team with a talented, productive offense driven by a bevy of skilled offensive weapons. But, if the quarterback situation is improved, the Vikings could have a great team.
Great teams win Super Bowls.
That is what it boils down to.

Just looking around the interwebs and other fan comment sites, I'm pretty shocked to discover just how many people think we'd be better off with Keenum. Not just Keenum should start Sunday, but for the rest of the season.

Folks, if we find ourselves heading into the playoffs with Keenum as our QB and Teddy having not yet played a game, we will not go far. We cannot let that happen.
I think this is just the coaching staff letting Keenum play his way off the stage on his own. It keeps team morale up (ie not penalizing the guy who's done his job and won), gives Bridgewater more time to get practice, and gives each passing day more time for that knee to heal. I'm sure it's fine at this point, but I'd feel more confident with more time.

if Keenum starts in USB against the Rams, our fans may be booing him and chanting for Teddy at the first incompletion
This is the last thing I'd want and I totally see it happening.  It will piss me off to hear fans chanting "Teddy!"  I understand a lot of people believe putting him under center automatically makes the passing offense like ten times better (for some reason), but to chant for him at the first sign of Case struggling would be ridiculous and essentially shitting on him after what he's done to help the team this season.  Even elite quarterbacks have stretches when things don't go smoothly.  My hope is that fans will be patient long enough to allow Zimmer to start Teddy when he feels it's time.

I agree,  I hate the Teddy chant because hes part of a team... when I hear that stupid chant I always wonder what the rest of the team is thinking.... especially when the offense is on the field and trying to get a play off... there are some damn stupid fans at our home games.

Fair argument, but the fact remains he has been built up as almost mythical by many supporters.

Where have either of you seen this?  Quit the hyperbole and crazy speculation.  This is getting silly!!  None of us know how Teddy will perform if/when he gets an opportunity to play.  I don't think it's "mythical" for fans to say that Teddy WAS a better QB than Case prior to his injury...  the question that needs to be answered...  is he a better QB now?  Zimmer will have to figure that out by watching them in practice.  And fans will have absolutely NO INFLUENCE on the decision on whether or not to start Teddy.  Does anyone really think that Zimmer will let the fans decide that???  I mean how crazy does that sound???  I'm not trying to sound like an asshole, but we've finally jumped the shark...

Because we have Teddy back on the roster, I believe Case is now on a leash.  If Case and the offense looks putrid (think Steelers and Lions), and we're down by 10 or more by halftime or into the 3rd, I wouldn't be surprised one bit to see Teddy play this Sunday.  Zim said Teddy is 100% ready, but has Case starting because of the win streak.

If Keenum looks shaky in a loss to Washington, bet the ranch you'll hear Teddy chants right out of the gate if Case starts against the Rams at home.

Fans can be stupid, but I can't see this happening. Case has earned a certain amount of respect from the crowd.

What will it take for you to think otherwise?  seriously.  If the Vikings find themselves heading into the playoffs with keenum it will in large part because of keenum.  And if Keenum leads the Vikings to the playoffs why would you want to mess with that? It reminds me of Kyle Orton Who took over for an injured Rex Grossman did nothing but allow the Bears to win the divison and a first round bye to then be replaced by Grossman and preceded to lose their first game in the playoffs.
