I cannot read Hasan's stuff....its so ungodly long and wordy. Unnecessarily so. That story could have easily been 1/3 as long and gotten across his point.

I agree with you. But this one is about half as long as a typical Hasan dissertation. He makes some interesting points as well.

You just can't get this type of insight any old place...

The Vikings have a good team with a talented, productive offense driven by a bevy of skilled offensive weapons. But, if the quarterback situation is improved, the Vikings could have a great team.
Great teams win Super Bowls.

That is what it boils down to.

Just looking around the interwebs and other fan comment sites, I'm pretty shocked to discover just how many people think we'd be better off with Keenum. Not just Keenum should start Sunday, but for the rest of the season.

Folks, if we find ourselves heading into the playoffs with Keenum as our QB and Teddy having not yet played a game, we will not go far. We cannot let that happen.

For Hasan, that was cliff notes. Scary bad.

Patrick Reusse had an interesting observation (getting rare for him) yesterday: if Keenum starts in USB against the Rams, our fans may be booing him and chanting for Teddy at the first incompletion. I'm not saying coaches should just do what the fans want, but if Bridgewater truly has a leg up in terms of his teammates' confidence, they might start to think that way as well.

Well, Teddy's good friend Jarius Wright thinks the team should take it slow with him and doesn't see how the team can sit Keenum with the way he is playing.

“There’s more to it,” Wright said. “Sometimes you’ve just got to get your feet wet, and he hasn’t played football in over a year, so this is the getting-his-feet-wet part right now.
“He’s a smart enough kid to definitely understand (it’s a process). That’s what it’s all about, when he’s ready. … Not when the fans want to him to play. … You never want to rush it.”

After being placed on the PUP list to start the season, Bridgewater returned to practice Oct. 18 when he was first eligible. From that day, the Vikings had three weeks to restore Bridgewater to the roster or place him on injured reserve for the rest of the season.
A source said, barring the unforeseen, Bridgewater will be activated. But Wright would be surprised if Case Keenum doesn’t remain the starter for the immediate future.
“I’m not a coach, but just with the way Case is playing, I don’t know that you go away from it,” Wright said. “But it’s always good to have two quarterbacks you can trust.”
