Packers Waive TE Martellus Bennett
#11
Martellus Bennett - TE - Free AgentESPN Boston views the Patriots as a potential fit for free agent TE Martellus Bennett.

Bennett had a career-high seven touchdowns with New England last year. The Patriots have struggled in the red-zone and could have interest in bringing him back. With Dwayne Allen not doing much behind Rob Gronkowski, Bennett could provide an upgrade in two-tight end sets. Bennett has only $724K remaining on his 2017 salary, so his contract shouldn't be an issue.

The Vikings may put a claim in on him, he'd be an upgrade over Bell. Only $724K left on the contract this year is extremely team friendly. Plus if he does intend to retire after the season his remaining contract would move to the retired/reserve list.

Didn't he drop the pass from Rodgers on the play where Barr ended the Packers' season?  He had Kendricks beat for the first down; Rodgers gets him the ball; then he drops it.  That made me laugh.  And so ended the Packers' 2017 season.

it will be like when the Vikings signed that former packer TE that botched the onside recovery in the playoffs the year before.

The New England Patriots claimed former Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett off of waivers.
The Packers released Bennett claiming the tight end failed to disclose a medical condition, which Bennett denies. Bennett was looking for ways to leave the Packers once Aaron Rodgers suffered a broken collar bone and now he is reunited with the Patriots where he won Super Bowl LI as the starting tight end.
The Patriots were 30th in the waiver order, which means that 29 other teams passed on Bennett and his veteran’s minimum contract. It is unknown if the New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles placed a claim on Bennett.

one lied about a police encounter, the other exacerbated it by crying about his brothers interaction. when video evidence was released neither was held accountable for their incinderary representation of their event. Nor did they themselves admit their potential mistake, which further proved they didnt care about lying if it push a false narrative forward that exists right now.

they added fuel to real issue in this country, similar the recent events Air Force Academy, that truly detracts from actual injustices.

addtional reason: watch an interview with either one of them. for example recently Doug Baldwin (who represented himself well, even if i dont 100% agree with him) and Michael Bennent were on a national news panel/special. it solidified my view of Michael
