I actually turned that game off at the 1/2

By the third quarter, backup quarterback (broken), backup center (IR) and both backup tackles (gimpy knees) spelled doom from the start. Adding in, the defense couldn't pass defense to save their own lives.

I have zero faith any more that KOC is going to lead this team anywhere, he just is unwilling to make the hard decisions and to do what is necessary to try and improve. Wentz needed to be sat, even if Brosmer was dog shit, at least there was a chance, but the notion that Wentz is going to suddenly start hitting the easy passes he has been missing for a few weeks is insane.

Somebody mentions Smith needs to retire... he was the only damn defender making tackles last night, I think you could blow up the entire D if we think Smith is the issue.

If this is how KOC and KAM prepare a team after getting multi year extensions... oy vey. I expected to lose last night, hell i expected to have a rough year, but I expected the team to look like it was prepared and fighting for wins and I dont see that right now from the coaches or many of the players.

The defense looked old & slow last night.

This was the type of blowout on national television the will surely get the Wilf's attention. The question is will it cause them to take action or will they do what they've done for the past 20 years & be satisfied with mediocrity. Short of a "love boat" type of scandal, the Wilfs seem content with mediocrity & to count their ever increasing revenue.

I text throughout the game with a buddy. Something we’ve done for nearly 20 years. Started off the afternoon stating I wasn’t planning on watching the game if it turned into a shitshow.

I ended up watching a bit more than expected, but I eventually turned to channel surfing to return in time to see Brosmer in mop up duty. Was nice to see the ball come out in time, even if it was a very limited basis.

November 3rd will mark 56 years following this team. I find I’m just not willing to spend the same time and emotional investment as previously. I used to rewatch all the games win or lose. A few years ago, I stopped rewatching the losses. About 4 years ago I stopped rewatching altogether. The ROI on my investment just isn’t there.

As MB mentioned, the difference between what’s on paper and what’s on the field is a chasm. Watching a 3-4, soon to be 3-5 flailing about as a 2nd year QB finds his legs is one thing. Watching Wince play QB to a level that makes me want to stab my eyeballs out is entirely another.

But, yeah…driving towards a top 10 pick will be an ineffective balm, unless the next 10 games have JJ under one of the centers in the revolving door at that position with at least a glimpse of an upside.

Hoping we didn’t grab the Josh Rosen from this class.

IMO giving up on KOC is melodramatic. Even with Kwesi drafting skills near the bottom generally most other aspects are pretty good. Hindsight I would say they got to cute with the QB position. Get moving off Cousins but looking back and giving draft capitol for both JJM and Turner looks like stupid drafting again. Now all wagons hitched to JJM which looks like his career will be between Chad Pennington, Matt leinhardt, Brady Quinn.. UGH

I will just add, I hate Thursday games. For the team travelling, it just sucks. No chance to recover and practice, then a long flight.

Without CD and O'Neill on the line, we were screwed. Wentz holding the ball just cemented it. And NY buzzing in and overturning Rodgers pick 6 really started everything off.

When the season inevitably goes to 18 games, maybe they’ll dial back the Thursday night schedule to something more reasonable.

I’d suggest the season opener for the SB champions and their conference championship opponent. Then a Friday night game. Next Thursday night game wouldn’t be until thanksgiving. Then do a Black Friday game.

You’d have to structure the season schedule such that Prime doesn’t get screwed out of their allocated share of the schedule. If the NFLPA had any teeth they could bargain for this under the umbrella of player safety.

Nobody wants Thursday night football except for Goodell and the owners. Players don't want it, coaches don't want it, and the fans don't want it either. We watch because it's football and people have fantasy players, etc....but it's a shitty product more times than not.

I agree that Thursday games should be reserved for the season opening game and Thanksgiving. That's it.

Dialing back Thursday will never happen. It's all about money in case you hadn't caught on. Just like the 18 game schedule will be worse for player health and push the SB back to almost March but who cares because money! And it will also be the doorway to putting teams in Europe and having everyone play at least one overseas game every year. Might as well adapt because it's coming, just like a Bad Bunny halftime show whether you like it or not lol.

Or quit the NFL, hell I don't care. I'll probably quit it myself one of these days if they keep making scoring so easy that you barely have to try. I don't care about any of the above tbh because its players and owners chasing bucks. But football that's easy and lazy doesn't interest me. The game is interesting because it's hard, it's a challenge. You take out the challenge, remove the defense and make it soft for snowflakes because they whine for "more scoring" all day long, when then I'm probably done.

I dont know how they safely bring JJM along with such a Mash unit on the OL?

We were w/out Greenard and Gink last night for a while, but that D is just underperforming overall. Something aint right.

Makes you question a lot when stuff goes to shit like this.

I was right there with you, checked out at the half. After 51 years I know this team better than KOC.
