Oh boy.....'core principle work'

This just doesn't sound great to me, lol. Listen, I love me some JJM but for christ's sake, just get his ass out there and let's f-ing go. This does sound like he's not going to start Sunday, which I want to watch Wentz in there as much as I'd like my colonoscopy on a live-feed to the local high school. F-ck. I'm getting cranky and short of patience with this.

Kevin O’Connell said JJ McCarthy, Josh McCown and himself worked on “core principals” of the position during the bye week. They also looked at what was causing him to maybe feel the ankle while playing

O’Connell said it was part rehab, part football acclimation to make up for time lost. McCarthy hasn’t practiced since Week 2

“It’s not just getting him back and throwing him out there, it’s a little more real than that.”

O’Connell said he won’t keep the QB secret for Sunday and that it’s possible McCarthy returns.

Yah, I hear u Sticky...

OTOH, there is no win for the coach...Not sure there is a sweet spot regarding sharing too much or too little.

He's erring on sharing too much right now.

I think JJ will be the guy when he's fully healthy, and I doubt that's this Sunday.

I don't know why we're treating JJ McCarthy with kids gloves. If his ankle is healthy, get him out there.

He got tons of practice reps all spring and through training camp and preseason. If we're worried about his footwork or other things, then he shouldn't have been starting Week 1 if it's impacting his ability to be successful.

Either the media is making this more than it is or KOC severely miscalculated how ready JJM was heading into the year.

This is exactly how I feel, but thought I was being a cranky bitch.

Christ, should have signed Rodgers then for this year if JJ is this damn raw. Its either one of the things you mentioned.

Remember last year when JJM lost like 30 lbs but no one was allowed to talk about it without sounding like a deranged fan? I'm getting similar off kilter vibes around this whole ankle thing right now and I don't love it. Hard to know what to make of any of it.

Hopefully he comes in and just SHREDS the Eagles. Can you guys imagine? I wanna look back on this post in shame!

They'll be extra careful about it, especially with at Chargers just 4 days later...

I think this is 95% is he physically healed now or not?

I think they felt he was the guy Wk1 or he wouldn't have been out there...Might he have developed some bad habits? Of course, the best of em do and they work those out going forward.

Who says we are? I haven't heard anything at all that suggests McCarthy is fully healthy and we're sitting him for another reason. I'd be surprised about two things: 1. If JJ is healthy enough to start this weekend. And 2. If JJ McCarthy doesn't start when he's fully healthy.

Maybe he’s another Drew Henson. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out.

Listen, I don't blame anyone for being exasperated over this. Even the board fanboys of JJ are irritated and salty (me being one). Nothing all of us would love more than for JJ to have a breakout game, but who the hell knows when or if that will happen? Its just useless to anything other than a W or L to watch the baby giraffe back there (Wentz) at QB. Doesn't do one damn thing toward whether we have a franchise QB or not.

I'll get this out of my system, but right now its just like 'enough already'.
