Given the billion dollar industry and how much is at stake it still baffles me that there are teams who don't do everything in their power to prepare QBs. The solo film watching for Caleb Williams was shocking to me. And if your QB prep isn't next level, find out what Minnesota does and just copy that.

I recently watched something on Baker Mayfield. He really wasn't that bad in Cleveland...or Carolina. Carolina actually had Baker Mayfield AND Sam Darnold at the same time and decided neither was good enough. Daniel Jones leads the NFL in QBR, Darnold is second. 

I just think there are teams in the NFL who don't have a clue what they're doing when it comes to developing QBs.

When talents like Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold are playing well, they just look the way a NFL QB should look as far as passing a football. Big, talented guys with great arms. They have touch, they layer, etc. Now there's much more to the position than that and both of those guys obviously have had serious issues in their pasts with much to prove in crunch time moving forward, but you can admire their skills when on. I never thought Mayfield was ever anywhere close to being as bad as he was being portrayed by the media back in the day and he's proven that he belongs. 

Having said that, I don't think you can take any and every QB coming into the league and make them stars with great coaching. There are personal, unique intangibles that will help or hinder them even in the best circumstances. But no doubt some teams train QBs better than others.

I luv KOC and he frustrates the hell out of me at times....CLEARLY he is master ninja level when it comes to QB's. Probably top 3 in the league.

My hope is we get some better luck on the injury front and this one week example of short, quick rhythm offense isnt a faded memory soon.

Let it be part of the arsenal and growth of KOC as a technician on game day planning. OL will appreciate it too.

Not that we should cast judgement on JJM after 8 quarters but.......he's had the better part of 2 years to sit in that QB room.

JJ will get an opportunity here but sometimes guys don’t pan out and you can’t double down. If by end of year there are still injury or performance issues then you have to bring in real competition next year.

Agree.  At some point he needs to put up or shut up.  If by the end of the year we're not seeing improvement then you go into the off season looking for a new idea.

So for the 'lets bail on JJ after one season of starting' brigade, let me show you something:

• 1,749 passing yards, 9 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions, with a 52.9% completion percentage on 293 attempts. He also had a 0-11 record as a starter in Year 1. Who is it?
  
• Played in 9 games, completing 95 passes for 1,043 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions, with a passer rating of 55.4. He had a 2-7 record as a starter in his first year. Who is it?
  
• Recorded a career-low 56.7% completion percentage and a league-leading 28 interceptions his rookie season. Who is it?
  
• Started seven games his rookie year, completing 112 of 205 passes for 1,089 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions, went 0-7 in those games. 
  

This are just a few stats. Those QBs in order were Troy Aikman, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, and Jared Goff. Maybe its JMO, but I sincerely doubt that Minnesota is going to bail on JJM after one year of starting and draft a QB. I'm not saying you have to believe in the kid, but he's going to get a shot with KOC. lol, he's played a whopping 2 games.

2 years?  He was at Michigan 2 years ago and in the middle of a National Championship run.   That's not mathing for me.
