At this point, keep Wentz in to take the beating until most of the line is back. Then bring JJ back

A sigh of relief. I heard KOC in his presser after the game saying he hung around outside the door where O'neill was being looked after and heard the letters MCL. I had never heard him circulate a rumor before. The sprain is so much better than a torn MCL. Has anyone talked about how much time he will miss?

Sounds week to week right now...Probably nothing till after the bye at the earliest. So glad we're not talking season ender.

GINK is out Sunday

JJM may begin practicing this week.

I'm much more worried about Kelly. Two concussions in three weeks and 5 in his career could have him contemplating retirement.

Brandel actually played well in place of Jackson and Skule wasn't bad at RT after O'Neill went down. But Jurgens has been bad. I don't know whether the Vikings have Wentz or Jurgens making the line calls, but whoever it is, he's struggling with it. The only two players who touch the ball on every play are the center and the QB, and if those players are struggling the offense can't function.

On the bright side, with the exception of maybe Kelly and Aaron Jones, the Vikings could be at or very close to full strength after the bye with the potential returns of Cashman, Gink, Jackson, O'Neill and McCarthy.

He's a family man too...I suspect this is the last year for him in the league?

From a contract/cap standpoint, Vikings can release him pretty easily in 26.

Sadly, I think whatever play and teaching we can get from him this year, is going to be it.

Done and Fini (or medically cooked) as someone else posted

At least, the O'Neil injury isn't as bad as was feared. I'm concerned about the Gink, but I'm hoping that the bye actually does us some favors this season.

I'm hoping that the early season injury dramas will pay off the team's "karma" for the post-bye games....
It's officially SKOL SEASON!! LET THE PLUNDERING BEGIN!!

I think Rouse is the backup RT.  He wasn't active last week, so Skule got to get schooled.
