Will be interesting to see if Darrisaw travels with them overseas. I doubt he plays before then.

Vikings HC Kevin O’Connell says C Ryan Kelly has a concussion. Justin Skule has a concussion. Jonathan Greenard had oblique injury. Aaron Jones will be evaluated for a hamstring. Gabe Murphy’s MCL will be evaluated.

Kelly definitely will be out next week, which will be a big loss. Hopefully Greenard can go, we really need him and Van Ginkel as they are the two most dynamic pieces of the defense. Hopefully we can get Darrisaw back, if not think we should consider putting Brandel there.

One other thing. What is with the ref standing over the ball and making us take a delay of game. That is shit in my book. I get the substitution rule, but why when we are at the line with the clock winding down? That took away a 2nd and 2, made it a second and 7 and then we took a sack. Could have put us in the lead.

I guess what bothers me as much as anything is the game plan. How do you watch the tape from the Bears game and not give Skule more help, or even replace him?
What's wrong with building an inexperienced QB's confidence with quick short simple passes to the back or tight end, or a slant, that can be called in quick enough to have time to look over the defensive alignment and not be pressured by the time clock running out? How about getting a couple of those passes to Jefferson and get him involved in the game. Mix in the run, play action, and screens.
JJ had a nice throw to Jefferson before the half but missed Speedy on the long ball. JJ didn't have great long ball accuracy in college but was pretty good with the intermediate throws.
Game planning seemed more suited to Darnold than JJ.

That is exactly the problem, the NFL has figured out KOC's offense. Send pressure and take away the deep shots. He won't run the ball or use quick slants.

I don't think it's really something the NFL has figured out, because teams sucked at it last year and this year our QB is starting his first two games so hardly fair on judging the scheme. I think it's more just that sometimes the QB and/or OLine just aren't good enough and he isn't pivoting to other strategies.
