Offensive linemen Ryan Kelly and Justin Skule are in the concussion protocol
Running back Aaron Jones is likely to be out this week with a hamstring injury, O’Connell said.
Left tackle Christian Darrisaw has not yet returned from knee surgery last October.

The Vikings defense came into Sunday’s game with its own injury issues. Linebacker Blake Cashman (hamstring), outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel (concussion), cornerback Jeff Okudah (concussion) and safety Harrison Smith (illness) were out.

Last season the team was fortunate with injuries. The NFL gods are a fickle bunch.

This seems really odd with them being so definitive right away, usually you would hear them say we will see how he responds to treatment and at least keep the opponent guessing, but it seems like they want to go in another direction right now and want to take all the attention away from it as soon as possible.

It seems ridiculous to say that a team that lost its 3rd CB, its starting left tackle and both 1st and 3rd draft picks to either injury or death....is a team that was fortunate with injuries. But the Vikings did fare better than most teams in the injury department during the season.

Yeah, Monday morning and they are calling it 2-4 weeks already.  They weren't taping a high ankle sprain last night, it was more on the arch.

This isn't the Vikings' year anyways...it's the build-up for the next year or year after. McCarthy will be pretty seasoned then, followed by a couple of good drafts and free agent signings...this is what I'm hoping for down the road.

I'm not happy with this    but I would rather roll with Wrentham than rapier  or Howell
