Game was WAY more one sided than the score. If Minnesota had beaten both Detroit and Washington to start the year, fans would be losing their shit big time. And this is the way to think of this loss, mature response from Daniels. Its one game. ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk · 33m Jayden Daniels: Nothing to dwell about, we faced a good team and came up short.

Two observations:
Washington laid an egg...Jayden Daniels did not play as free as he was last year. This is the second game in a week where the home team wore white and the visitors wore colors/black. (Last Saturday a college game, it was a "black out"...all the fans wore black for a game under the lights and the home team? ...came out in all white. Is this becoming a "thing?"

Hand up, I thought WAS could keep it within 4 or better and I was wrong.
GB with back to back home games to start the year, and WAS traveling on a short week after their first game was such a tough spot. Green Bay defense looked stout again, and now they'll have 10 days of rest and a quick trip to Cleveland who will be coming off a game in Baltimore. Sadly, GB is in a very good spot. I hope the Vikings can take care of business against Atlanta.

They like different options, they like to accessorize, etc. Younger fans today don't have just one jersey, they have 4 jerseys. 4 logo'd caps, etc. Ben Devine @Chicago_NFL · 1h Jayden Daniels performance last night looked exactly like every young QB looks when the running game is nonexistent.

Green Bay pretty much bitch slapped last years two NFC Title game participants. That is DEFINITELY eye opening. So early in the season so we really don't know if Green Bay is that good or have both teams losses in players and coaching staffs affected them to the degree they have taken multiple steps back. We are all pretty familiar with the Lions losses and they are VERY significant so I went to check out Commanders and they lost a few very important pieces but it seems they more than made up for them. I think them trading Brian Robinson was a huge mistake much like Kwesi made the mistake NOT replacing Dalvin Cook and going with Mattison as the bell cow back and it showed last night. The loss of Jonathan Allen to the Vikings also reared its head last night as Jacobs gashed them up the middle.

Packers got up early, forcing Washington to abandoned the run too early. I think part of the reason the Vikings game back against the Bears is that they didn't abandon the run. Chunk runs by Jordan Mason is part of what brought them back. Daniels threw the ball 42 times and handed it off 12 times. That's not a recipe for a win.

That was a beat down last night, and it looks like the pukers are in better shape...but, I kinda want to see how Detroit looks against Chicago on Sunday.
If the kittens slap the cubbies around, then GB definitely looks legit. If Chicago unveils their Johnson (har!) successfully and Campbell's soup (I'm reaching, sorry), many questions remain.
It's officially SKOL SEASON!! LET THE PLUNDERING BEGIN!!

I couldn't agree more... and JJM really didnt get on track till KOC remembered he had Mason on the sidelines and OL finally got serious. THAT is the recipe for success this year with such a green QB. Not JJM to JJ. Sorry Jetta, I am not predicting this to be your best statistical year. Hang tight for a season.

Green Bay doesn't appear to be the team they were last year. Although Love still misses on some of his passes, the O-line and D-line appear to be as good as any in the league. Their early schedule has them only playing one or two, if you count the Bengals, good teams in the next 8 games before they face the Vikings.
It's only two games, but they don't appear to be the team that barely won one game in the division last year. Despite that, I think the Vikings have a team that can beat them if they can stay healthy until then. |
