Haha a bears radio station with pro Chicago reporter. Seems legit. There is some risks with a rookie QB. The biggest issues with young QB's is reaction time and making the correct decision. From minimal data JJ looks good. Caleb by his decision making only was responsible for the most QB sacks of any QB removing the effect of line issues. The Vikings will have 5 very good lineman, the question is how in sync will they be. I think they win with 25% chance they win by more than 2 touchdowns. I expect the running backs to have a hey day.

I see it similarly. I think the Vikings will give Caleb fits, and there will be sacks and turnovers as a result. But Chicago has some weapons that should concern us on those occasions when CW is able to get rid of the ball. But I could also see JJ struggling a bit too in his first game. The team who runs the ball better might be the winner. I think that will be us, but in a low scoring affair.

Odunze & Moore will be a handful. Front 7 hopefully brings A game.
Thats who gives me the biggest pause.

Am I seriously the only one that thinks we absolutely throttle the Bears?
27-7, in a fucking beatdown
JJM 16-21 for 265 2 TD 1 INT
Jones/Mason combine for 140 Rush yards 1 TD
Defense: 4 sacks 2 INT

Yup. I think we get a defensive TD off a strip sack. I think the rushing yards are higher than 140.

I think a Viking beat down is well within the range of potential outcomes. My hesitation comes from seeing JJ struggle a bit against the Patriots in that first joint practice. He made up for it the next day with what was a sensational performance. But therein lies my concern: did he learn from his mistakes in that first practice, or was this a glimpse of some inconsistencies we might see from him this year?

Well JJM explained that he overprepared using film from their first preseason game and then they played nothing like that against him. So day 2, he prepared from film from day 1 and lit them up.
So the bears may try to disguise some stuff, but not sure. Their DC is pretty much straight up, play deep and make the QB beat them with small ball. So I think that plays into our hands, run the ball, take what is given to us and be methodical.
