Vikings Christian Darrisaw is expected to progress to 11 on 11s later this week. A big step for the star LT.
“And then O’Neal had mentioned to me yesterday that that Christian Darrisaw will progress to that point by the end of this week. So, they should have their entire offensive line together by at least Friday. And so that’s a good sign for McCarthy and for this offense in general.”

Hopefully no set backs, but that widely held view by beat writers that he likely wouldn't be ready for the opener did seem overly pessimistic given where he was back in May.

That is great news! It is actually super news for Jackson and his development. Learning to play together will be the recipe going into the season.

Kevin Seifert is back on the Viking's beat, so pessimism and general curmudgeoness abounds. He's more dry than a Mummy's ass in the Sahara.

Speedy screwed up on that route...did you notice how he slowed down for just a tad right around the 30 yard line, causing the overthrow by JJM? If he had kept his speed instead of dogging it, it would have landed right in the bucket. Jury is still out IMO on Speedy. Let's see what Felton can do and I'm hearing some interesting noise about Jeshaun Jones?

Maybe should have thrown it elsewhere, or thrown it away. But at the point where he threw it, he anticipated speedy beating the defender, so I think it was a good decision, but may have been short if speedy hadn't slowed down.
Had the ball been thrown a little short, speedy could have caught it. It was just a well defended play and a good QB decision. And speedy is still learning' but I think he will be an asset this year and make some plays.

Look at it again. There were only 2 receivers on that practice play with Jones releasing very late as a safety valve. The receiver underneath was well covered. Nailor doesn't have good enough cuts to get separation. He relies on his speed. Having said that, he half assed pretty much the entire play. He didn't create separation from Rodgers with his speed and didn't try very hard to catch the ball. Jefferson makes that play 9 times out of 10.

Its practice. It might have been intended to go to Speedy the entire time.
