Cuts like this will happen as we get closer:
Jaire Alexander
While Alexander remains on the roster, the Packers are still trying to trade him, according to team sources and a source close to the player. They could wait indefinitely but most likely would prefer to get something done before next month's draft. One source said the team has not approached Alexander about taking a pay cut and that even if it did, he would not be willing to do so. Without a trading partner, the Packers would likely release him, but there is no urgency to do so because he has no guaranteed money left on his deal until the start of the regular season, when he's due $17.5 million.
Not saying that we should try to sign CB Alexander, but there are always cuts of highly paid players who their teams are going to try to trade before deadline, and if not, they get cut. In our case its Bradbury.
Do not fret if Kwesi doesn't fill in the few remaining gaps before (or during) the draft. This "competitive rebuild" notion? Damn smart.

Packers are missing a starting C (I think they slide Jenkins in).
We could use another CB.
But the worst kept secret is Alexander is getting cut. Can’t stay on the field.

Don't disagree. And this might be how Minnesota gets QB2, which I said last week might be late August/early September. I'm starting to push CB even with my opinion about drafting an OG in round 1. Either CB/OG at #24, don't care either way as it sits right now. And both types of players could easily be BPA at that spot.

Alexander could be an option for us. Kwesi seems to be following the illustrious and long-admired Flamin' Groovies fantasy strategy by targeting players other teams avoid due to injury history. In fact, my fantasy trophy room is stacked to the rafters with Super Bowls won on the backs of players angry owners will "never draft again." There was an ARTICLE about this recently.
But I think Jaire Alexander might be too injury prone for even Kwesi.

He was drafted with bad knees from what I remember. Too much risk for me. Unless you feel he will have the famous chip on his shoulder to play a full year at 110%

34 games played over the last 4 years might exceed the threshold. I’m starting to think between him, Watson and others that the training staff in gb might not be up to snuff. Or their medical staff does a shit job assessing players.

Jarrie isn't coming here. Jefferson would get to abuse him in practice everyday.

Wow, 50% of the games over the last 4 years. Thats a $5m/yr CB that you don't rely on.

Speaking of keeping your powder dry, keep in mind that around the trade deadline in the fall there are always a handful of players who want to play for a contender. Be nice to have some cash on hand when that happens. In fact, I kinda wonder if Sauce might be one of those players after the Jets start 0-9.
