Anyone remember how Favre played from age 40 compared to 41? Peyton Manning played great at 38 and then his play dropped dramatically at 39.

I get wanting some competition for JJ McCarthy given he just got mental training last season, but bringing in the Aaron Rodgers circus isn't what we need.  Given how much cap space we have even after all these signings, we could have easily beat Daniel Jones 1-yr deal with Indy.

But don't mind me, none of my arguments against bringing in Aaron Rodgers are valid.

No circus please; 100's of reporters, coaches driving limos to the airport, helicopters flying overhead or fans in bird costumes outside of Eagan.

I just want QB insurance at this point, in case of emergency. Its nothing new or unique as a take. Its as old as time.

I am past bringing in competition and I think the Vikings are too - or Daniel Jones would still be here as you point out.

My $$ is on Flacco, they're waiting to see if he signs with Giants or not. After that? Its Tannehill time.

This post gets the post of the century, Sticky. I think you picked every word I would say on this subject and I can’t add anything else.

What could JJ be thinking about all this, and are they keeping him in the loop about it?? They sure as hell better be.

With everything thats happened since last August???

The kid is getting a crash course on NFL. Hopefully he's got a big resiliency streak.

I trust in KOC to keep the kids mind right through all this drama. This is the kind of situation where I suspect he might miss Udinski though.

Culturally, this douche bag drama queen is not a good fit with the KOC/Vikings locker room. He is a "me-first" prima donna who has never been that "team" guy. It would tear down, not pull up.
Take last season for instance...what a surprise record! How many on that team (such as Hitman, for instance) said that this was the best "team" they'd ever been on. The team esprit de corps would be gone, as A-aron would suck all the oxygen out of the room, out of the sports media.

Kwesi, KOC and the Wilf's have to see that.

I’m completely in agreement! Why waste a year of JJ during this rookie deal? I don’t want any part of Rodgers being on this team. Sure I’ll hope for the best of it happens, but it would be so bad for this franchise in my opinion. I hope it doesn’t come to A-A- Ron being on this team, if he’s here it means physically JJ isn’t ready.

JJ isn’t Tarvaris!

I don't want him anywhere near this team. I'm now seeing some Vikings fans talking about it's a good idea to sign him. Wth? Like no it's not. Not looking for a circus. I am ready to let JJM get started and see what he has. Already lost a season. The time is now. I feel like the OL upgrades will help him and I want that for him. I was in the frame of mind actually excited to see what he can do. I'm sick and tired of Rodgers and I have no off switch for that. Some fans are acting like he would get us to the Super Bowl and I don't believe he is that guy. He is selfish and wants attention, he wants his way. That's what this is about. He needs to go away
