Yeah, we have this national media perception that the O-line is better than it is. But I will say our board is probably a little too hard the other way on it. Wink

For us, it means JJ gets the ball out much quicker, sometimes I wonder if Sam is still holding on to that damn ball from the Rams playoff game…!?  Cool Angel

Well....9 sacks by the Rams will do that to a fan-base Wink

Now, Sam was probably responsible for 1/2 those, but people (most people) wont remember those.

Sam got his bag and he'll enjoy the 12th man early adoration, but I do have some trepidation for him. Might be a very short honeymoon.

Until Darrisaw went down we had a fantastic unit.  It really showed when he was out how miserable it could be though.  Hopefully Darrisaw is back week 1 and back to in season form 1/2 way through the year.  Adding Fries and Kelly will help.

Everybody thinks their offensive line is worse than it is. Denver radio was just bitching about theirs two weeks ago. I came home and looked it up. They ranked top 5 on nearly every site I looked at.

Last two years the Vikings offensive line has ranked in the 8 to 18 range, depending on what time of year and what metrics you're using. Protection wasn't as big a problem against the Lions as Darnold throwing every damn pass high and outside. Most bizarre thing I've ever seen after the year he had. Protection was definitely the issue against the Rams though. That was a perfect storm of poor protection, a great young pass rush coming into its own and a QB who just held the ball too long under that circumstance.

You could be right, I think Darrisaw went down in Week 6 or 7?  Guys are coming back from ACLs quicker and quicker.  He might be ready at the start, I mean Hock was back mid season and he had a ton more damage and got hurt later in the prior season.  Outside chance we could have him back Week 1, but we'll see...

Man, Hock hasn't been the same since. I hope this is the year we see the same pre-injury guy again. I would think a rook QB would look for his TE - a lot.
