When will we hear about Dimes?

I think having him around next season is important for the franchise while they figure out exactly what they got in JJM.

I think a team like Cleveland might take a swing at Dimes. I hope not, I'd love to see him behind McCarthy. One year at KOC University would be good for the resume (that's what she said).

I know what we all saw yr 1 with Nix/DAniels, but I'm not sure they are going to just hand the starting job to JJ?

Is that your expectation?

They very well might if they have nothing but a Mullens caliber behind him...

I think Danny Dimes needs a full year in Father Kevin O’Connell’s Boys School For Wayward QBs.

I think KOC would like a 'competition' at QB for optics, but the same way other teams do it when they draft a rookie top 10: a foregone conclusion. I mean, when is the last time in NFL history that a team didn't just start a QB they drafted top 10? Did it happen ever? They have to start so you can see how they do live, no other way to know. The other veteran guys in the 'competition' have experience and a history to look back on.

Why would it bother anyone to just give JJ the keys? Its how its done with every rookie QB drafted highly. McCarthy should know the offense very well now. What other rookie QBs were ever in a serious competition with a really good veteran? Zero?

I think they trust their evaluation of JJ and expect him to be the starter in 2025. But the Vikings aren't idiots. They know they have to have some security. I'd be willing to bet one of my kids that they will not let both Sam and Daniel leave.
