Very rough offseason for Buffalo and Detroit
#1
JMO, but Buffalo was better than KC this year....and maybe last year as well. And a healthy Detroit would have taken Philly and smoked KC in the Super Bowl. What could have been for those two fanbases. Now they'll have to grind their way back this season and crazy crap can happen in the NFL, no guarantees. The Chiefs looked a little tired to me and a bit soft. Hard to keep that fire going each year as they've been so successful. As much as Nick Sirianni is a big doofus, you can't argue with his success.

Patrick Mahomes just played as bad a half as you’ll ever see from someone of his stature on a stage of this magnitude.

Long way to go, but that was startling. #SuperBowl

I agree, no guarantees of continued success and a healthy Lions team probably beats Philly at home in the playoffs too. Not quite that sure about the Bills - not enough weapons to help Allen.

I remember the year after we lost Shurmur and you could sure tell he wasn't calling plays anymore. Losing Ben Johnson is huge for the Lions. Plenty of talent still, but the gutting of Campbells staff was like vultures on a carcass.

Vikings will very likely take a step back this season with a rook QB, but they should still be competitive and fun to watch.

Yes, a second-year rookie who benefitted from being in a top NFL QB room all season.
Yes, a second-year rookie who will still be on his rookie salary for a few more years.
Which will enable Kwesi to spend wisely on re-signing key FAs and signing some new, additional FAs to bolster the OL, DL and DB positions.
There's a lot to look forward to.

Bills, Ravens, Commies, Rams, Lions and Vikings all beat the Chiefs last night. I didn't watch much of the game, but from what I saw, Mahomes didn't have his Super Bowl magic. Honestly, he looked like he did in the regular season, which was not very good.

I think the Ravens might have held-up to Philly more than the Chiefs did. They have a more stout OL and are just more physical of a team.

I put this one on the Philly DL. They completely out matched Chiefs OL and even Superman couldn't overcome that.

Actually the KC D held them in the game for a while.

Philly built their roster from the inside out. Big and physical. It's a formula that works. I have been hoping the Vikings would do that for years. No matter how good your QB is, you won't stand a chance if the offensive line can't protect you. That is what happened to Mahomes last night and to a certain extent, Darnold the last two games.

The Lions have a lot of free agents, different time frames for injury returns and some adjustments for the coaching staff. 8 assistants gone and that OC slot is a huge one. Josh Allen's head could be an issue. I think KC may go backwards a bit. Hopefully it is different teams in the dance next year

KC didn't play well but I wouldn't go this far. Philly got insane pressure all night with 4 guys. The Bills weren't able to do that two weeks ago, I'm not sure if the Vikings would have been able to do it or not. Likely we wouldn't have even tried-- Flores would've stuck with the exotic stuff.

KC was a good team that had a bad night. OL got smoked and they abandoned the run. Very similar to their SB loss to Tampa. They'll be good again next year.

I was just looking at the trades Kewsi made for TJ, the 2022 draft and the 2024 draft for JJ and Dallas. Kewsi trading sucks

honestly he looked like Darnold in the last 2 games. Or maybe like Eli Manning when he was getting hit often.  Chucking the ball at the feet of his WRs and just happy feet everywhere.

Agreed.  Their o-line was brutal.  Honestly, the MVP should have gone to the d-line.  They rocked Mahomes and grounded their offense.

Would love to see our front office take note.  Philly built the lines first and that made all the difference.
