p.s. I wish someone would have told me how awesome retirement is.....I'm loving it. To anyone that's lived their career in corporate America, especially in a sales/leadership position, there's always low to high level pressure to produce: you individually as a contributor, managing a sales team to hit Plan, etc. especially the last 3-4 years. That all evaporated and its been an amazing feeling.

I've retired twice. The first time I rested for too long and became lethargic, close to becoming depressed.  Looking for a redo, I unretired 5 years later.

Fortunately, I remembered my mistakes on the 2nd retirement (2 years ago). Remember the old adage, a body in motion stays in motion and motion is life.

Enjoy your retirement, sounds like you earned it.

I retired in 2018 after a long career in Consumer Pkg Goods...I was ready to leave Corporate, but not ready to fully retire if that makes sense. So I did what I deemed as my "chapter 2" pursuing a passion by getting involved in sports cars, events and selling. IOW, connecting with people who shared a passion. 

That was a fun ride and I made some serious coin - but its a young mans game and when they wanted me to move to mgmnt? It was time to move on. 

So chapter 3??? Delivering meals to shut-ins, people of need and working 10-12 hours/week at the locally owned pet store. Critters are another passion of mine. 

Staying busy, healthy (if you can) is so important...Having good self-awareness as to what you like to do, what brings real happiness is important as you age out.
