What about Kirko back to Vikings as Qb2?

How many chances is this average QB going to get?  In his last 22 games he is 11-11.
.500 does not get you into the playoffs.

No! He looked thrilled to leave for more money and it seemed like he was really not open to a team discount, especially with the little tampering going on just before signing with the Falcons.

Well, starting this weekend, he is officially a backup in ATL.

Yep, and then some reporter asked him at his presser yesterday if he was ok now being a backup the rest of his career (lol, these reporters man....) and he got a little prickly and said, 'I haven't forgotten how to play QB'.....he sounds like he's mentally very fragile. Mr. Sad Sack at the microphone.

What I meant in my post is he wouldn't settle for a backup job with the Vikings.

I'd tend to agree more with this if he started slow and then played great.....but he was 'playing' well when they got to 6-3 and looked good, then he just fell off the table. If the surgery was still an issue, it wouldn't be in that timeline. But I will say that we've all seen where a dude was suffering from some mystery injury and then months later admitted that was the case, but that's where the HC Morris would say, "Kirk's been fighting this X nagging injury and needs some down time, etc." But that's not how its gone down: Kirk has sucked and he got his ass benched. He can't use the offseason surgery as an excuse because he was playing better earlier in the season where it in theory would be impacting him more.

JMO, but I think its very mental BECAUSE of how quickly it turned bad. I think Kirko is always running a fine line mentally between moving on from a bad pass, which he doesn't do well, to being confident. KOC was in his ear constantly to let shit go and move on, we've all seen the sideline mic'd up moments between the 2 of them. Cousins is the type of dude that can have people tell him he's awesome 99 out of 100 times, but he focuses on the 1 negative feedback.

You could very well be right Sticky...In all these years of watching pro ball, this level of decline this quickly? I dont recall it happening too often.

I'd feel bad for the guy, but his great grandkids wont have to work if they dont want to.
