SI.com: Vikings Superbowl contenders?
#1
https://www.si.com/nfl/power-rankings-vi...f-comeback

'Minnesota rallied from a double-digit deficit to win its fifth straight game and add more fuel to the fire that this is a Super Bowl contender.'

Ha!

Ranking the Vikings over the Chiefs huh?

Hey, I think we are #3 in NFC, which is incredible considering I figured 7 wins. Just a huge testament to this staff and players.

The crazy thing about it is the amount of roster turnover I am sensing from 24 to 25 may be pretty big. So just enjoying the ride.

My prediction:

Thread title: Breaking: Vikings will suck in 2024

I'm shoving my chips to the middle of the table, I'm raising the ante, anybody wants in get in, anybody wants out get out. This team is going to the playoffs!

Its funny, because who knows how it all goes down.....but U.S. Bank was SO quiet last Sunday, the whole stadium was full of gripping fans always expecting the worst. Nobody enjoying 9 wins (at that point) and just waiting for shit to hit the fan. Very few actually enjoying the last minute drive to win, but just having relief it was over. Tough way to try and enjoy a NFL season. Just can't shake the 'fraud' concerns. Or the inevitable 'playoff letdown'. Or whatever the next Viking fan anxiety is. I think the older base is definitely broken and the younger base is being tainted by it.

No Joy in Mudville......

You're being too harsh. There is some truth in what you say, but...Overall teams need to earn it from those at the game.

I'm not going to blindly scream my lungs out the whole game while they're shitting up the field for 7 of their 9 drives.

Chiefs are not very good this year. They're overrated at #5 in this ranking. Their DVOA is 12th. Barely escaped with wins against the Raiders and Panthers. 9 of their 11 wins have been by one score or less, about half by 3 points or less.

They can get hot though, and make everyone forget about how bad they've been playing. They have the talent. But I think they get knocked off in the playoffs this year.

Don't you think that winning 9 out of 11 games has 'earned' the team a little fan equity and patience, lol? This is why I say the older fan base is broken, that's a weird thing to say when they've won so many games. And oh by the way, they pulled it out in the end. Not telling you how to fan, I'm saying we are all charred a little inside as long-timers to boo the offense on a lethargic 3 quarters yet still in striking range to win. The earn thing is folded arms, old man talk IMO. Not saying you shouldn't be frustrated watching it, I would have as well, not saying you need to scream your lungs out, lol....I don't think you are that kind of fan when everything is perfect anyhow (which is completely fine). If the team had won 4 games, I get it then. JMO.

IMO the Eagles and Lions are better. Mostly because of the oline and running game. Vikings have a puncher chance but most likely they will have 3 road games to the Superbowl while playing the Eagles and Lions on the Road. (if it gets that far)

IMO, a fair assessment. Sums it up at this point in time.

We were saying the same about the Chiefs last season. Then December rolled around & their only loss was a meaningless game against LV. We know how that story ended.
