I think he would be great to have in the QB room with JJM...Dont think it'll happen though, I'm sure he wants a chance to start somewhere else next.

Maybe its just me, but I'm not 100% clear on what Danny Dimes is looking for: A) a strong playoff organization with excellent coaching to learn from for the rest of the season or B) is he looking to be a backup still this year and a little of point A)? I mean, its a completely new playbook he'd have to learn....how would he be better than Nick Mullens at this point in the season? IMO, he wouldn't be. I mean if he wants to be the Viking's backup for 2025, hell yeah I'm all for it. Otherwise, I'm still a little puzzled.

Agree. I get why it's good for us in 2025. Having a backup QB with as much starting experience as Jones would be terrific for the Vikings. I don't know how it makes sense for Jones tho. Unless he just wants to start over and is willing to take a backseat just so that he can have a year bathing in the healing waters of Lake O'Connell.

I think it's exactly what you both lay out.  I think he's as tired of losing as the rest of his Giants teammates, he's seen some below average to bad HCs come through the Giants and wants to go to a playoff team with better coaching.  I'm sure he's looking around the league and seeing guys like Cousins, Baker, and Darnold leaving teams, taking a year or two of being a backup/bridge starter and rehabilitating their careers.  He's still very young and a smart kid.  Think he wants to do the same.

According to
@TomPelissero
on
@KFAN1003
, says that QB Daniel Jones will make his decision today on which team he will join.

It will likely be as a veteran minimum or a practice squad deal."

My personal guess? San Francisco.

10 teams interested in Jones. Vikings likely one of them. 1 team (god knows who) wants him as a starter right away. Any guesses? I'm at a loss. Doubt it could possibly be a playoff team.
