This is how to view the Sam Darnold Experience
#11
All of Darnold's picks...

1. 9 times out of 10, Jefferson is going to win that positioning battle. Throw was accurate, hits JJ in the hands but the defender plays it well. Jags get a lucky bounce. No problem with this one.
2. Darnold has Powell open early, and Jones late, but he has time, so he uses it to wait for JJ. Not sure why he does that. It's a mistake compounded by the fact that when he releases the ball, JJ isn't looking and fails to stop his route.
3. Should've been a 50/50 ball that JJ will typically win, but the ball is thrown too far inside. Bad throw.
4. Has Addison in man on a 50/50 go ball that Addison will win more often than not. No problem with this one.

I think if you dissect INTs for all QBs, you'll find ones that look better or worse individually. Some are just dumb bad luck. Darnold throws INTs, that's his history in the NFL. But the team is 7-2. Can he move forward from this exact point and be better? Its up to him. As I've mentioned previously, he also can play very well and makes some throws other guys can't. How much Bad Sam can the team fade and still win games?

I think Darnold is going to throw more INTs today and Minnesota will have to prevail despite that. Hope to be wrong.

He cleaned things up and played better. But honestly if the refs didn't give us all of those calls I think we might have lost this game.

Not sure about the "give" part,  live the game had a lot of non calls for the titans.  That backup right tackle was false starting or illegal formation all game,  they got a few,  but once the Vikes went up by 2 scores they swallowed their whistles until it mattered.  You could tell on the called back b9g plays,  the titans overly animated coaches didnt even get in the refs ears like they had earlier.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Darnold played a helluva game. He did a lot of little things in this game that won't show up in the books. Nailor doesn't drop that touchdown, Darnold throws for over 300, 4 TDs and 0 INTs. That's two costly drops for Nailor the last three weeks.

Really nice bounce back game for Sammy. That 3rd down Houdini escape and first down throw to Sherfield was magic.

Nailor is cheap and signed through next year on the rookie deal so he'll probably be back but yeah, Speedy has been Costly.

The Titans undisciplined play was the story of the game frankly, but Darnold played awesome too. Jones wasn't his usual self and didn't get his usual workload. Hockenson was ignored but Addison was heavily involved which was great to see, even though he is gonna be feeling those shots today.

The defense was again very good. Skol!

Levis is a bad QB. Holds the ball way too long. Stares down guys.

I think the ol' recycle heap is going to be robust in the QB department next year: Danny Dimes, Levis, Bryce Young all could be available for the 2.0 treatment from another team with a dream. Not easy to do unless you have a KOC (that's what she said).
