Saw a quick blurb this morning about Derrick Henry, his age (31 by week 18 this year) and his production: on track for 1,592 yards for the season through the first three games.
So I know that most RB's "best before date" is 28 years old. We jettisoned Dalvin Cook around that age, did not pay him the big money and he has proven the Vikings brass correct in the 1.1 seasons since. So how old do our RBs compare? I forgot that CJ Ham is actually older than Aaron Jones.
Here are the current active oldest RB in the NFL
Michael Burton, Denver Broncos: 32 years, 238 days
Cordarrelle Patterson, Pittsburgh Steelers: 33 years, 193 days
Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins: 32 years, 170 days
Kyle Juszczyk, San Francisco 49ers: 33 years, 156 days
Ameer Abdullah, Las Vegas Raiders: 31 years, 105 days
C.J. Ham, Minnesota Vikings: 31 years, 66 days
Derrick Henry, Baltimore Ravens: 30 years, 266 days
Dare Ogunbowale, Houston Texans: 30 years, 145 days
Patrick Ricard, Baltimore Ravens: 30 years, 122 days
Aaron Jones, Minnesota Vikings: 29 years, 299 days
