If you watch video breakdowns of Sunday's game, Young is completely not seeing anything. Guys are wide open and its like he's looking through them. After the coaches saw that, you absolutely cannot win with this kid in his current state. He's worse than last year. Its not fair to the rest of the team, that's how bad he is right now. He's a very nice young man, but football-wise he's pretty damaged mentally.

It probably wont happen till the off-season, but the kid needs to go to a new home and re-hab.

I hope he doesnt have to go the same path as Darnold did, thats a tough journey to endure, let alone rise from the ashes.

Agreed. I think going to a place like the Los Angeles Rams or Seattle Seahawks to sit behind a starter for a bit makes all kinds of sense, compete for a backup job. Decent coaching and organizations. But here's the thing: what is his upside? He's tiny, both in stature and frame. I wonder what McVay and Mike McDonald really think about Young. Its easier with Darnold: big, strapping guy with mobility and an elite arm.

Makes you wonder what the decision making process was in starting him day 1. Was it anything beyond “We have to start the #1 overall pick?” I’m really curious in figuring out how much of his issues are just physically limitations and how much of it could have been avoided if he sat until he was ready and seeing the field acceptably.

Even if he went on the same path as Darnold, he is not as physically gifted.  He's small in stature. 5'10" in heels.
Darnold is built to take more of a beating, and to see over NFL linemen.  He's 6'3"

I think he will go down as a footnote in NFL history.

I never understood the love for him coming out of Alabama. Other than throwing to wide open receivers the skill set was one of the most overhyped college QBs that I have witnessed. Always was going to be a major project given his limitations.
