Every summer the hosts do a Summer Scouting series where they examine the top players at each position & project their draft position for the following draft. Usually they look at their top 10 players at each position but sometimes a few more. Evaluations are based on film study. None of the QBs that they evaluated had a first round grade going into this season & they did evaluate the top QBs. No doubt multiple QBs will be drafted in the first round as QBs are always overdrafted. But, it does show the difference in the quality of the QBs available in 2024 vs. 2025.

Definitely agree that the '25 class is a 'lesser than' group (at least right now) than '24.

USC and LSU Qb's both looked really good last night. Better than what I saw from A&M or Notre Dame. I think there was a pretty big experience difference across them though. USC/LSU guys had to sit behind Caleb and Daniels.

I think that's mostly about timing. While I do agree that the '24 class was a standout year for QBs, I think it's just too early to say much about what shape the '25 class will take.

For example, I Googled mock drafts and restricted the time to September 2023. There is no sign of JJ McCarthy or Jayden Daniels. I also looked up QB rankings from the same time period. Here's one from Sept 21, with Daniels as a 7th rounder, McCarthy and Penix as 3rd rounders.

Any clue where they had JJM going?

Ward looked amazing again. I think Quinn Ewers is a buyer beware type player...I wouldn't want him.

Ewers has that streak to him).
I thought Ward would have been drafted pretty high last year. He is definitely starting the year on fire.

A lot of rough debuts for the rookie class today. Caleb Williams was hot dog shit, painted nails and all
