What I said was that you can't possibly compare recovery times for a non-running pocket QB and a skill player like a RB. And you responded as if that's some kind of wild, controversial take only a doctor could make. He said a month ago that he was "good to go" and that if the Super Bowl were held then he'd be playing. His own coach said yesterday: "It would be hard for me to say he can do anything more since he's done just about everything."

But why do you even care? If you think Cousins is not going to make it back by week one given three more months of recovery time, fine. You be you. Think what you want.

I think you're incapable of taking a little ribbing is what I think. Wink

My prediction for this is that the Falcons lose a 3rd and a 6th in 2025 or 5th in 2026 and some guys get fined. Vikings don’t get any picks. This is a little more of a fine than the Chiefs (which I think is a pretty similar situation), but not much more. I don’t see them getting hit with a 2nd. That seems pretty heavy for what actually happened.

I can't say what the Falcons are going to lose, but I agree that the Vikings get nothing.

The only thing getting hammered this week is Caitlyn Clark:

At this point there really is no hurry.  The draft is over, free agency is done so any hammer for the Falcons won't take place until possibly next draft.  Maybe they could change the schedule and have them play all road games this season or all games in a foreign country.  Take that you dirty birds!

My take is and has always been that the NFL doesn't want this to be a big story, so it won't be. They know that if the Falcons get hammered and the Vikings get comp, then it'll be in the news quite a bit. If the Falcons get a slap on the wrist and the Vikings get little-to-nothing, this is a non-story that only the 19 Vikes fans who convinced themselves we were getting the 8th pick in the 2024 draft are going to be mad about.

If we get something that's awesome, but I expect nothing. As always, would love to be wrong. We could use the picks.

I don't agree with your take. I think if the NFL wants to discourage this kind of behavior, and I believe they do, then it's in their best interest to punish the Falcons no matter the size of the story. I do agree that it's unlikely the Vikings get anything out of it, but I'd be surprised if the Falcons weren't punished in some way.
