Thank God I’m almost done.

My wife and l coach XC for our school. We have always planned to do so until our youngest graduates which is 5 years out now.

The Biden administration pushed through updates to title 9. There’s plenty of good stuff in the updates like protection for sexual abuse and pregnancy. But buried in the legislation is codifying language for trans kids in sports.

Dudes competing in womens sports is wrong on every level. Those same divisions were created to protect women are now being exploited by dudes who couldn’t make it in their own division.

If my daughters have to compete against dudes we’re done. Full stop. What a joke this world has become.

Well stated AGR! I agree with you totally. IMO, there should be three divisions: Males, Females, and Male-trans-to-female division or an open to all division.

Where in the article does it say anything other than Trans athletes are still in "limbo" because that issue wasn't addressed by these new rules.  Which is stated in other articles that show up when I queried Biden title IX rules and transgender athletes.

If you go back to last year new rules were made to allow blocking transgender athletes in women's sports.

Help me out I want to see a source for your assertion.

They've not banned trans bans yet though they've done everything but that.  However, the change they made stops any type of discrimination based on sexual identity.  Which is trans athletes competing in women sports divisions

The new regulations officially add "gender identity" onto the list of protections from sex-based discrimination for the first time, though the administration said it has already been applying this standard.

The way I read it was very narrow to include gender identity and transgender in protection from sex based harassment. These new rules specifically did not address banning of transgender athlete participation.  Leaving that up to non federal entities.

My daughter competed in volleyball to the level of Olympic training and Junior Olympic competition.  I sat on team and league boards, and in an effort to promote the sport to younger male athletes we allowed male/female teams to compete in some tournaments.  It was a can of worms and got very ugly at times, these were pre- high school tournaments.  It was a mixed bag.  On one hand after a few years more opportunities to compete and learn for young boys opened up, so it was successful in that respect.  But man the anger of some parents and kids was hard to deal with   Personally Trans and "gender identity" athletes should be limited to where and what they are allowed to compete for, I have no problem with that.  It's just turning it into a binary hot button topic that bugs me.  Competing against male players motivated my daughter to get better and work harder. It sure pissed her off losing to a team with boys on it because it wasn't fair and she felt great when they did win.
