I still think Minnesota won't move up before #4 or #5.

Kwesi gonna get fleeced again, I can feel it in my bones.
Honestly, I hope so.
Getting fleeced and getting the QB we want versus getting QB6 at 11 or rolling with Darnold. Which option would make you more excited for the upcoming season/the future? I know what I'd choose. If the QB busts and we have no early picks for the next year or 2 we're gonna be last in the north. Guess what-- we're gonna be last in the north with Darnold probably anyway.

Due diligence of course, but I'd say Odunze is more of a target at 11 than he is at 4.

NFL execs agree with me. New England should trade down.

They should trade down, but if I were in their shoes going back to #11 is too far. From what I've heard in the past week or so, teams at the top of the draft want to stay in the top 5. If MN has a preferred QB they may need to secure a top 5 picks and then work with the teams in front of them to jockey for position.
If I'm the Patriots, I take what is likely to be a godfather offer from the desperate Vikings, then just sit there and see how the QBs fall. I can trade back into the 5-10 range, I can take one at 11, take one at 23 or even take one on day two to compete with Brissett. In some ways, their situation isn't as desperate as the Vikings. Vikings have a shiny sports car awaiting a driver. Patriots haven't built the car yet.
To be most reasonable, Pro’s should never get desperate.  Yes, Fans are desperate, including me.  Yes, Vegas has us at 7 wins.

What the hell is wrong with Bo Nix at 11(even though I am not that keen on him and who knows, the Jets or Broncs may be).

BFlo is gonna BFlo. We have 2 all world OT’s and serviceable G’s.  I would upgrade the IOL and IDL in the draft if that is the best reasonable options, and there will be good options at 11 and 23.
I’ve said it 10 times over, build this effer from the inside out there are Keenum’s available every year until you get the QB you want.
I'm not in favor of left over QB's, but if they can't get the one they are after, I like your plan for team building.

Fleeced or not, if they don't move up from 11 to get above the Bears 2nd pick, Chicago will trade the pick to Denver or Vegas.
He also will need to get above 6 to keep the Giants from taking their guy.
Time will tell what that takes.

This guy thinks he's found a somewhat reliable leak from one of the Patriot's scouts that the godfather offer to the Patriots is already in place and that Maye is going to be a Viking (depending on what Washington does with their #2 pick).

Saw that a couple weeks ago. It does perk your ears up a little, especially considering the scout unliked the tweet soon after. Like I've said before, if I'm the Patriots, I see what Chicago was able to do by trading down last year and I'm trying hard to something similar.  That roster is not ready for a QB. It'll be Mac Jones all over again.

I go back to this comment made by Colin Cowherd on March 15: "Outside of Caleb Williams, who I think has the unique talent to thrive wherever he's drafted, the second most successful QB in this draft will be whoever Kevin O'Connell of the Vikings lands. That's my official QB bet of the draft," Cowherd posted on his official twitter account.
I don't know how much stock to put in Cowherd's comments, but the respect he's got for KOC turning any of the top 6 QBs into a solid NFL QB says to me to NOT trade up, take the best of who falls to you at 11 and take either DT/IDL or BPA at 23.

I'm not sure how KOC is getting all this credit as some kind of quarterback whisperer. I think he's getting credit for Cousins and the strange circumstances with Dobbs in his first game, but it's widely known he runs an extremely complex system and he never catered the offense to whichever quarterback he had starting outside of the Dobbs sideshow where they were basically drawing up plays in the sand. The more exposure and time Dobbs got learning the offense, the worse he became. Dobbs, Hall and Mullens all looked lost. So I'll hold off on anointing KOC as the next Don Coryell until there's something to base it on. This is typical Cowherd just getting a hard on over a particular coach or player.

Sort of like Zimmer getting credit as the cornerback whisper.  All of their top corner picks and they never really did become a shut down group.  Not sure how or why he got the credit for developing corners.
