I still think Minnesota won't move up before #4 or #5.

NFL execs agree with me. New England should trade down.

I really hope we stand pat and keep 2 first round picks. Penix or McCarthy could drop to 11 and either one would be fine with me.

They should trade down, but if I were in their shoes going back to #11 is too far. From what I've heard in the past week or so, teams at the top of the draft want to stay in the top 5. If MN has a preferred QB they may need to secure a top 5 picks and then work with the teams in front of them to jockey for position.

That would make sense. Just seems like it would be an awful lot of maneuvering and compensation given up to make a move into the top 3 work. I think the Vikings know this and that's why we are now getting the "we are prepared to go into next season with Sam Darnold as our starter and look towards 2025" line.

Two years in a row of not getting their young, promising, first contract QB? That would not make me happy...

I am starting to think 11 and 23 may be "no mans land."

Not be ideal for trying to maneuver into top 5.

If I'm the Patriots, I take what is likely to be a godfather offer from the desperate Vikings, then just sit there and see how the QBs fall. I can trade back into the 5-10 range, I can take one at 11, take one at 23 or even take one on day two to compete with Brissett. In some ways, their situation isn't as desperate as the Vikings. Vikings have a shiny sports car awaiting a driver. Patriots haven't built the car yet.

To be most reasonable, Pro’s should never get desperate.  Yes, Fans are desperate, including me.  Yes, Vegas has us at 7 wins.

What the hell is wrong with Bo Nix at 11(even though I am not that keen on him and who knows, the Jets or Broncs may be).

BFlo is gonna BFlo. We have 2 all world OT’s and serviceable G’s.  I would upgrade the IOL and IDL in the draft if that is the best reasonable options, and there will be good options at 11 and 23.
I’ve said it 10 times over, build this effer from the inside out there are Keenum’s available every year until you get the QB you want.

Vikings Job 1: study QBs, identify QB, go get QB. That's the process; trust the process. I don't think the Vikings are all that interested in settling for 2nd best. Or in this case, 5th or 6th best.
