When asked if "It appears the Vikings prefer Drake Maye to Jayden Daniels. Is that the case?",
@Alec_Lewis responds, "It might appear this way externally, but I’m not sure I believe that... the Vikings were one of the teams that dove into, evaluated and expressed interest in Daniels the earliest. He’s wildly athletic, but the tape shows his accuracy, polish and ability to progress through reads on time... Emerge from the draft with either of these two, and the Vikings would assuredly be over the moon."
The fits based on tea leaves would seem to be Daniels to Washington after the Kingsbury hire and his college type offense which utilizes quarterbacks legs as well as their arms. Maye is a better fit in New England or Minnesota. I think the way we play and the hiring of McCown is telling in favor of Maye.
The biggest disappointment for me would be giving up a draft haul of any kind to move up to 4 or 5 for MCCarthy, who I really like, but is still universally ranked as a mid to later first round pick on most boards. I don't know. I just want the draft to get here already and for this to be done with.
Thing is, I think either Denver or Vegas is going to try to package something for the 4th QB. I don't see any way in hell that either Washington or New England trade out of their 2-3 spots when their QB cupboards are absolutely bare. I think we're going to overpay for that 4th QB, but that's what desperate NFL teams do for QB's.

I live in Denver and the buzz around here is that there is no way they will move up. Just don't have what it will take. They don't have a 2nd rounder. I also think Washington and New England will definitely consider trading down for the right price. Both teams, especially New England, have so many needs that a trade down makes some sense for them.

Same here. I've got speculation fatigue.
Not a physical therapist but if you’re tired of draft talk have you considered not starting new threads about the draft? :p

I hope this is the case, but they've just been strangely quiet on the quarterback front after cutting Wilson. They just don't have anybody, same as us currently, and worst case scenario is getting into a bidding war with Denver and Oakland and overpaying to jump ahead of the Giants for the 4th QB. The draft spot we landed in is not ideal to say the least.
Again, we have no idea how the VIKINGS are stacking their QB board.
What we see as QB4 or Qb5 could be 1 or 2 in their assessment.

I can promise you we're not getting into a bidding war with Denver. They have nothing to bid. Yes, they want a QB, but people in hell want ice water too.

Robert Kraft could probably recommend a masseuse that can help with that anxiety
If you move up now you are going to heavily overpay. Washington and NE are going to get an massive overpay unless and until they are on the clock, but then if you were GM, would you seriously trade out of the chance to take one of the 3 QB’s. i cant see it unless somebody offers the farm, equipment, house and standing crops.
So to clarify, i think the previous trade is most likely to eventually get to 4 or 5 which is also in striking distance of the top 3
