RUMOR: Vikings actively trying to trade up with Arizona

Every day I read how we’re gonna have a billion dollars in cap space next year, but we can’t get a deal done with our homegrown HOF level WR? Doesn’t make sense.

I want a trade way up and I want a JJ extension. But if I have to choose only 1, give me the latter.

The absolute only way I consider moving JJ— and still probably decline— is if it’s for #1 overall. Now if JAX wants to trade us Trevor Lawrence or we can get a proven commodity like that with upside, then I’m listening.

But for the 4th overall pick? Heck no.
JJ is a crucial piece for a young QB of the future while building a championship team. JJ's extension was one reason they let Kirk walk. I believe they will pay him; unless he wants out, in which case there's not much you can do but attempt to salvage as much compensation as possible.
Remember, he can be tagged if needed, but I think the extension will happen this year.

We’ll see where JJ is at after the draft when there’s a new QB on the roster. Trading him is stupid.

Who would they be targeting at 4? They must think a team or two behind them wants to move up to get the guy they want.

JJM, Nix, or Penix. One of those guys must be the guy they want. If it was Maye, Daniels or Williams, 4 wouldn’t guarantee you get him.

4 will definitely get you the one of the other 3 that you want.

Cardinals just traded Rondale Moore for QB Desmond Ridder with ATL. Ridder I assume will be backing up Kyler unless ARI is thinking of getting nuts and drafting a QB and trading Murray. Unlikely though. Ridder is a poor man's Kyler so I see the appeal for him as a backup.
Kinda funny Atlanta's 2 QBs now are both former Vikings. Kirk and Heineke.

it was a bad draft and you can put a nail into it if neither Booth nor Cine break out this year.

That said i went back and looked at that draft a few times and it would not have been easy to nail it. There were alot of misses in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Allowing the Lions to trade up 20 spots without having to give up an additional first round pick alone is a reason for banishment.

IF <--- and thats a big "if"  it were to happen,  I have to think it would be a draft day decision based on if the guy they covet is there at 4.

They better be damned determined that JJM is the guy. Our ‘25 pick is going to be a high one.

You do what you have to do for a QB but if he fails Kam is out of a job.

Well then either way, some of the fan base will be happy

I dont think anybody would suggest JJ for the 4th alone,  there would have to be other picks involved IMO.
Seeing as the 4th pick is worth something like
our pick and almost 2 more firsts, I’m not sure JJ would get more than that in
a trade.

So, if we let Kwazy walk at the end of his 4yr contract, do we get minority hire supplemental draft compensation…?  Wink B)

partly agree but what has their pick done. Zilch. Jameson is as big a bust than our picks combined, and the pickers just got a contract extension.
