I'm fine with JJ, but if we're not signing Cousins, there has to be a bridge of some sort. I wouldn't want to start a rookie week one regardless of who it is, but starting a kid barely out of his teens is asking for trouble.

Wolfson also reporting today that the Vikings and Patriots talked at the Senior Bowl gauging interest in a possible trade.

Good stuff, supa. So this aligns with a rumor I heard that Minnesota isn't that interested in JJM, they like others better. One in particular that isn't Caleb Williams.

Right now, and it's early of course, I would want us in play for Maye if he is falling down past 4 as this draft indicates.

I'd be pretty surprised if the Vikings didn't have seeds planted with nearly all the teams in the top 10. But I do think New England is the most likely team to trade out.

I wouldn't sleep on Washington.

That would surprise me. Just my opinion, but I think they brought in Kliff Kingsbury to tailer an offense around either Caleb Williams or Jayden Daniel's, similar to what he ran in Arizona with Kyler Murray. It would take an army of riches for them to move off that pick. I think Sam Howell turns the ball over too much for them to stick with him

Yah, the cost to move up to top 3 is prohibitive and downright scary given the high rate of QB flame-outs.

I have a growing suspicion the Vikings rate Maye right behind Caleb and in front of Daniels.
