Nix only left if we don’t trade into top 5

I think you're seeing this through a purple lens. No doubt, three of those QBs could go early, but there are a few pretty good players in this draft who don't play QB. For example, most big boards have WR Marvin Harrison Jr. as the top prospect in this class. There are a couple other WRs and a couple tackles who will figure in as well.
watch Washintons Rome Adunze tonight,  if he goes off like he can, he could certainly push his name into that conversation,  kid is fearless and tough as hell.
Odunze has been consensus for a top pick pretty much all year.

I havent seen him in the top 10 though.  A big game tonight and he may be moving on up.  Ive seen some that dont have him even as the 2nd receiver off the board.  I havent watched a lot of MHj,  but I wouldnt be scared at taking Adunze at any position,  I think his game is as good as any ones.  the kid just plain has the looks of a guy with a long NFL career IMO.... but what do I know,  I didnt think Addison was going to be worth a shit as a blocker,  but I watched him specifically on a couple plays yesterday and he stone walled a guy on one play,  got his shit handed to him on the next one,  but that was against a guy about 90#s heavier and he already had a bit of head start.

There was some talk about him creeping into the top 10 for some time from some of the sites and chatter I have seen. I actually watched most of the Huskies games this year as they were the college team I latched onto for the season. I agree with you, he has all the tools, just think that the team doesn't get much national run, and now the rest are starting to catch up.

This draft isn't just top heavy with quality QB prospects. Compared to recent & future drafts, it has quality QB prospects throughout. One of the reasons that we hired KOC was to draft & develop our QBOTF & we have to trust his judgement & give him an opportunity to do so. We have to get out of the mindset that if we don't draft a QB in the first, then the draft was a disaster. What if KOC doesn't like Penix, Nix or JJM to run his offense, but he does like Cam Ward of WSU, or Michael Pratt of Tulane or Jordan Travis of FSU? All of these QBs have enough talent to start in this league although all will need some level of development.
I do however think that it will be mistake if we don't draft a QB in April. One with a higher ceiling than Hall. Because looking at the 2025 draft, which QBs would you target outside of Sanders & Beck of UGA?....and if Kirko returns next season, we'll have a lower draft pick while trying to find a QB in a more shallow draft pool.

they obviously thought Jaren Hall was that late round guy that would be able to run the O,  but yet in a meaningless game to end the season we saw Mullins get the nod,  the fact that with nothing on the line they went with Mullings doesnt speak very well of Hall,  or their ability to find that mid round QB that just needs a little seasoning IMO.

That's really hard to do.

The closer anyone scrutinize his resume the more it will be understood he has everything going for him.

He's the guy I want the Vikings to draft. 100%

IMO Nix' game is comparable to Drew Brees, doggedly fundamental in mechanics .

He frustrates and beats defenders because he gives no tells since his mechanics are so tight and consistent.

He'll take his lumps as a rookie, but he'll start next year and win games.

I would be ok with Nix as long as Penix is gone.

Insightful.  id like to see what you have seen. in the limited time i have watched, he reminds me quite a bit of Ponder.  I would like to see his pocket awareness and reads progression. He obviously checks the boxes on size, arm and athletic ability
