Not optimal, but what choice is there?

On the plus side. CD is back in the lineup and it's not a year where we had an early bye week.

Could be a day we see more of Ham used as a receiver out of the backfield just as a different guy the defense needs to be aware of.

I really can’t gauge where the team will end up at the end of the season but I certainly have more optism than I at the start of the season and 2 minutes after Kirk’s achilles.
I'm not more optimistic now than I was at the start of the season. I think only now are some of the doubters coming to an appreciation of just how good that team could've been.

But I am more optimistic than I was after Kirk went down. Thought the season was over. And it probably still is, but there's at least a glimmer of hope.

Well, that's not a given. I hear what you are saying and I'm more with you than against with your takes, but how 'good they could have been' is very subjective. Their margin for error is very slim and would be with a healthy roster. Now could they beat anyone with Flores upping the D? I think so. I think they would have had more real heft this year than last. But still no juggernaut. And still losing to Philly. Or even Dallas.

I personally think it's unobjective to think that a Cousins-led offense with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison and TJH, with an improved OL and an improving defense would NOT have been a contender down the stretch.

Dobbs isnt Cousins, but he might make us forget him after that first half.

Defense keeps playing like this and we’ll be resting TJH.
