After seeing a "Queers for Palestine" sign over one of the rallies, and knowing how well said queers would be treated by ANY of Iran's puppet cultures...

...just, wow. These kids really don't know much.
And since the newest progressive movement is to eliminate high school graduation requirements....I guess they aren't likely to get much smarter.
No, they're not. During the last few years, the scholastic emphasis up here has been all "DEI" and constantly quoting (yet insisting that they're not promoting) CRT, plus babble about how racist math and grading are, and how it was right to basically just sort of sweep the kids that did f**k-all during COVID into passing grades and graduation anyway...

...yeah, I might be done up here. Soon.

I have yet to hear a logical argument that supports "racist math"  was it racist when those brilliant black women put a rocket into space in the 60s?  I just dont understand how math or science can be racist.  I also cant fathom the logic that says to "graduate" unqualified individuals?  Why do we even pay taxes to educate in those states that arent requiring minimum standards?  This is beyond stupid and really sets a total shit future for that part of the country.

When I moved up here in 2012, a friend from NM that had gotten here first was chuckling in anticipation, because he figured the chaos of myself settled amongst millions of self-declared leftist elites would be funny as hell. Sadly, he had an unexpected health episode and passed a few months after I got here.

For his sake, and for his memory, I have kept finding the energy for some of the little confrontations that have resulted. I've gotten into it with print and radio reporters, a few levels of politicians, and an uncountable number of SJWs that don't like being asked questions like "what gives you the right to block the road and screw up my plans, my life?". I've written and called the people, I've walked up to the megaphone whackos, it's who I've always been. I was in people's faces before "keyboard warriors" were a thing.

Which is why, when some on here pull the "oooh, you're upset!" BS on me in debates, I laugh...because there's nothing in some sports board debate that'll typically change my pulse, even one BPM. Sorry, folks, but y'all are not that upsetting to me...

...but Ukraine, Gaza/Israel, and sudden apathy toward antisemitism? That has me worried, sickened, and stupefied.  I've NEVER liked Bibi, I've never liked the sheer mutual stubbornness and viciousness with everything relating to that region, but the "innocence" of the "Palestinians" is wildly oversimplified if not largely fictional, so the projection of Israel as this unstoppable bully is something that also needs context applied.

A tiny sliver of land, and a tinier sliver within it...but the ripples extend globally. I hope the lessons don't take too long to sink in.

I blame Bibi for consolidating power to the point that he doesn't even want to be answerable to Israel's courts. He needs to be stopped, ASAFP, and that can mean whatever it means. If he wants to act like Putin, I want him gone like I want Putin gone. Now.

That said...essentially every news source on my feed today talked about Hamas wanting "permanent war" and essentially wanting to pull entire the Middle East into this mess. Hamas is more than happy to involve oceans of blood and mountains of bodies from all around in their horrid crusade.

This sickness is hitting a new low.
I kind of have a similar feeling in the Ukraine war.  We need to see Putin and Zelensky gone,  just as we need Hamas destroyed and new leadership for Israel. Of course, there is always the old saying about the devil you know.
You can’t destroy Hamas.  We didn’t destroy the Nazi’s.  they still exist.  We didn’t destroy ISIS.  They still exist.  We didn’t destroy the Taliban.  They still exist.  We didn’t destroy the KKK.  They still exist.  We didn’t destroy the Bloods and the Crips.  They still exist.  People generally don’t just decide, “hey I’m
going to leave my family to blow up some people I don’t know”.  They say, “Those people maintain the walls
that keep my people down.  Those people
keep us poor.  Those people steal our
houses and our land.  It is a worthy
cause to sacrifice my life to ensure they can’t hurt more people.”  The oppression that the Palestinians face is
the breeding ground for the violence they commit.

Israels only way out is to make regular Palestinian life
worth living again.

Except, as has been pointed out, the Palestinian Authority and less palatable entities with power in "Palestine" teach their children hatred and violence in their own school texts, TV shows, and other elements of their upbringing...while some of their elected and acknowledged "leadership" refuses to recognize Israel, pledges toward "permanent war" (Hamas, just this week), are puppets of Iran and just being used, and/or have utterly pledged themselves to true genocide against Jews/Israel...publicly.

So, again...taught in their school texts, and reinforced from many directions.  I don't know that "Palestine" can exist without trying to destroy Israel...and why sponsor that?

Agreed. You won't completely destroy Hamas. And even if you could, something else would pop up like it. The incubator for a Hamas-type terrorist group still exists, the conditions for it. And will continue to do so. Unless something dramatically changes in Israel. Which it won't. So yes, Hamas will be decimated....but it will bubble up again in the future. Guaranteed. And the beat goes on.....

There will be repercussions here in the U.S. because of our support of Israel slaughtering innocent people. There will be terrorism on our soil because of it unfortunately. I hate to even say that, but I think its going to happen at some point. This is a very complicated issue, but murdering civilians can't be the answer. It can't be.

It's literally the favorite M.O. of Hamas, Hezbollah, and every Iran proxy.

is Israel openly targeting civilians (like Hamas did to initiate this round)  or are is it a matter of targeting Hamas and as a result hitting civilians as well?  I have no doubt that innocent Palestinians are losing their lives,  I just dont know that I would trust how many and the reports surrounding the how its taking place.  The US people wont stand behind Israel very long if its confirmed that their retaliation offensive is being just as mind numbingly brutal as the terrorists that they supposedly are targeting.

Actually, yes they will. At least many American jews. Some view any retaliation, and I mean including genocide, as righteous retribution. Have you seen the Jon Stewart video? In NYC, you can't even begin to have a conversation about the situation, they'll shout you down. There is NO discussion about Israel. NONE.
