I think if the 49'ers net out after this season that Purdy isnt their guy, they could go hard after Cousins.

Lots of ifs to go, but since we're in speculating mode...
True. So many huge, defining decisions to be made by the Vikings in the next 6 months.

Just not seeing it with Bryce Young.

That Panthers team is total ass, and I still can't believe they moved up to take Bryce Young, who has contributed to that team looking like ass.

Say what you want about "My boy" Poles, but what he did to the Panthers was robbery. Especially if that pick ends up being #1 overall which it likely should based on just how bad the Panthers are.

This has been my thought. If Purdy doesn't take them where they need to go this season, they will go hard after Cousins it just makes too much sense for all parties

I'm still a big McCarthy fan, but one kid who's growing on me is Bo Nix. This kid has a lot of qualities that seem to mesh well with what KOC would want in this offense. He's accurate, mobile, got a live arm, seems to process things well. I liked him last year but it seems he's taken another step up this season.

I'm not too fond of how old he'll be (24 next season), but it seems quite a few college QB's have begun coming out later recently, including guys like Burrow, Pickett, and Levis.
when looking at age,  remember we are still in the covid window where a lot of kids essentially lost a season and for some were buried by upper classmen that got an extra year as a result and werent able to get their shot until last year and needed the extra year to really build their game and draft status.

I think in Nix's case it was more about not performing while at Auburn. He then comes to Oregon, plays lights out and decides to come back and is showing that he wasn't a one year wonder. So in some aspect I agree he needed the extra year to help solidify draft status for next year, just that he went about it in a different way.

Remember, this kid has the NCAA record for most starts (50 something and counting).

According to ESPN analytics, the Bears now have a 42% chance of landing the #1 overall pick in the draft. The highest of any team.

Just what I don't want, Caleb Williams terrorizing the Vikings for the next dozen years. Not only that but someone will give up something for Fields. I think he's shown enough, and is young enough, that some genius offensive mind will believe they can make him a superstar. Bears are sitting pretty

With seven of those picks being round four or lower (sigh)

Did we lose our 3rd in the Hockenson trade?

Not to worry. If my calculations are correct, KAM will turn those nine into twelve.
Maybe he will but how how can we ever forget the almighty Rick turning those picks into 7th rounders just to get the guys he wanted as an UDFA.

I disagree. Not worried about Caleb Williams. Lots of shit has come up about his game this year. He's as big a gamble as anyone.
