I mean they are trying to target younger fans and casual fans. This is business and this is marketing

Never been a TS fan and it was really irritating seeing her so much. However I mute the games so I didn't hear the old guys fawning over her...thankfully so

Don't get the hype of TS either and would not be able to tell you one song.   But the parents of the youngins are paying like a grand for a ticket which is crazy.  I guess our economy is fine.

Aftermarket tickets at the shows near me were $2K+ for upper deck. She's huge. It was wild.

Her impact on local economies that hold her concerts is ridiculous. And very real.

" In June, the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia mentioned Taylor Swift in its Beige Book, attributing the “strongest month for hotel revenue in Philadelphia since the onset of the pandemic” to her Eras Tour."

I have neighbors up the street that went twice (4 of them) and have the pics all over social media to prove it (my wife tells me I am not on social).  We complain about this next generation and then we buy about 5K in concert tickets.  We spoil our kids and then act shocked that our kids are spoiled and aren't willing to work for anything Smile  We created a lot of this mess along with social media.  OK, Jumping off soap box!
