Who is holding what hostages? If you play by the rules that all have to abide by, there's no issue, you start name calling and such, you got removed from a thread, per the rules. If you think that is biased towards you, you are wrong, fuck I've removed myself from threads. When people refuse to accept their part in the issue is when I offer to remove the problem for them. I told you when it happened that it was over for me, however if you insist on continuing to bring it up it can become more.

I'm just wondering in light of all the information that's come out about the inefficacy of masks since we were last asked to mask up, do people of this site feel it's just fine that it's rumored we will be asked to mask again this October on flights? I haven't seen any studies with any credibility showing masks make much if any difference in containing Covid. It's rumored that by December, we will be returning to masking up in restaurants, bars, etc. I wonder if people are going to abide by this, or if there is a much bigger fight to come. The rumblings are all over that it's coming..

The masks were, and are, an annoyance that was among the reasons I hate optics in politics.
Fauci infamously contradicted himself on the masks, essentially every politician overspoke or at least was misled about the vaccines, and it was a horror show that's not done, yet.
For masks to have the desired effect, they'd be the serious filtration types, not just fashionable reengineered bandanas.
That said, as nasty as Covid is (and it is, that's still true), there's a ton of ways to urge people toward more care against contagions than lockdowns, massive industry pauses, and shameless fear mongering.

I find this pretty unlikely considering the facts are out there about mask use, largely undisputed, and doing so at the onset of a presidential election year would most likely seal a win for the republicans IMO. only a few holdouts still think that mask are an effective and safe way to prevent the spread and they are doing it voluntarily. I can them required again ( during flu season ) in nursing homes and hospitals, but I find it very unlikely that whoever is handling Biden and the health agencies would allow something this vote shifting to take place without some new tech or data that would be supported by most currently dissenting professionals.

Admittedly the loudest echoes are coming from conservative sites, but some people that have been right before are saying this. Already one college down south is forcing the vaxx on their students to attend school. There's a new variant that sounds like a weak but flexible variant out there starting to steal the headlines. Usually, this has been the prelude to tightening up the restrictions. I have to hope that people say NO to any masking when entering the grocery stores etc. The medical clinics will get away with it because well I don't know why, but my guess is we'll definitely see them there because people will likely accept it. I plan to raise holy hell this time around if asked to mask up. They'll be doing this forever if they get away with it again.
