It's such a shame that "science" has become so politicized these days.  The reality is there are studies on both sides of the mRNA vaccines and natural immunity..usually designed to facilitate the desired study outcome.  Whatever happened to the scientific method where there is no "settled science"...just what we know today? All science is intended to grow through vigorous examination of what we know today.  The reality is there is no "settled science" on the side effects of the so called vaccines.  Anyone that watches tv knows there are routinely lawsuits against other drugs which went through the normal lengthy approval process.  Do you really agree that vaccines developed under emergency authorization aren't potentially harmful?  I sure don't.  This shouldn't be about politics...this should be about science..but it isn't because viewpoints have become so polarized.

My current thoughts on the various scientific discussions:

mRNA vaccines likely have unintended side effects but do reduce the severity of infection.
Covid originated from the lab not from some unrelated wet market.
Wearing non sterile, non surgical masks has no effect on Covid and has unintended negative effects.
Climate change due to CO2 emissions is not settled science...because no science is settled
At some point in pregnancy, it's unconscionable to not believe a prenatal baby is anything but a human..and should be afforded rights.
There are only two sexes

Just my two cents.
The only one I even take pause in totally agreeing with you on is the first where I would slightly disagree with the second part to include the wording "in certain age and health demographics".  I don't believe it does one thing for healthy individuals below 40-50 unless big pharma Luckily predicts the coming variant correctly.  This is something they have really been chasing rather than leading since the initial variant.  Otherwise, I couldn't agree with you more, and yeah science went away when Lord Fauci decided to say that science was being applied in dealing with Covid.  Any moron knows particularly with viruses like this that science evolves.  But he was so great that he instantly knew what was best for all of us.  He's a f..king moron who should get life in front of a firing squad.  He's up there on the list of Americans who have caused irreparable harm to our country as he has weaponized the government against the people.
Do what you think you should do for yourself and your family and others should do the same.  The vaccine doesn't stop the spread of the virus and in some cases has contributed to asymptomatic transfer to people in risk categories.  I'm triple vaccinated and have had Covid twice...so I'm fairly invincible at this point.  I have Lupus so wasn't worth the risk earlier.  Will I get another booster at some point?  Not sure.  I don't get the flu shot and I think with improvements in Covid treatment and availability of therapeutics, that's really what we're talking about these days.  Btw - Biden and Co. should have continued the Operation Warp Speed for Therapeutics...but failed to do so.  We could have saved lives but there were other priorities for that Covid money.

Flu doesn't normally kill anyone that doesn't have comorbidities nor does Covid anymore. You can blame Fauci for a lot but I don't blame him for the early lockdowns and scary predictions to try to get people to vaccinate until we could get a handle on the virus and its implications.  I think the end justified the means on that.  Protecting China/Wuhan, extended lockdowns, vaccine recommendations for healthy kids are all extremely questionable and in some cases borderline criminal.
I appreciate the dialogue.  I don't agree with any type of misleading the public in an ends justifies the means type of way.   I totally agree that the decision to use the vaccine should always have been up to individuals.  Threatening people's livelihoods based on a false premise that the vaccine prevented spreading covid or that if you got it, you were magically saved was always bs and it affected a lot of people's lives in a very negative way.  I'm not sure the US wouldn't be in pretty close to the same position today in terms of covid deaths without the vaccine, and without the longer-term risks of negative implications due to it not being tested appropriately and in many cases fraudulently.  I agree that his actions were borderline criminal and in a different political environment most likely would be prosecuted.

Don't kid yourself...the "vaccine" saved a LOT of lives...particularly with the elderly and those with comorbidities.  Not even close to the potential deaths due to side effects.  The death rate would have been MUCH higher without.  As an aside, I have no doubt the death rate was way overstated.  The medical professionals were given a financial incentive to overstate and the politicians and mainstream media had a political motive in extending and overstating the pandemic.  My father's cause of death was listed as Covid.  He was in a long term memory care facility and tested positive for Covid two months prior to his death.  He was completely asymptomatic.  His kidneys had been failing for quite some time...and finally gave out.  The cause of death listed on his death certificate was Covid even though it had nothing to do with his death.  My stepmother contacted the physician and medical facility to change the cause of death but were told  the directive from the CDC was to count everyone that had Covid previously as a Covid related death.  My brother is a physician and tried to update the information on the death certificate as well.....to no avail.

When viewed over the long-term, I'm not sure I'm there with you yet.  The all-death rate has spiraled in the highest vaxxed countries with much of the data correlating with the timing of the second dose of the vaccine and subsequent boosters. While it may have saved 100's of thousands of lives during the first phase of the roll-out, I'm not at all convinced that many more people didn't die and won't be dying much earlier due to taking the experimental vaccine.  My stance has always been that the sick and elderly may have been smart to take it.  For most others, not a chance.  I had a family member pass from the virus prior to the vaccine.  I also had one pass where covid had nothing to do with it, but Covid listed as the assigned cause of death.  But, you're hitting on the right note.  They lied to us all along, and then we're magically supposed to believe their guidance.

Let's see where this one goes.
Ex-NFL player Chris Smith dead at 31: 'Rest in paradise' | Fox News
See...this is the kind of politicized stuff I can't stand...from either side.  How about we actually wait to find out more.  Here's what we know about Chris Smith...he played in the NFL...and was playing in the XFL for practically nothing comparatively.  His girlfriend was killed by a drunk driver just after giving birth to their child.  He's certainly had a tough go of it.  We know he's a lineman so carrying much more weight than the average cardio pulmonary system is used to.  That's pretty much it.  At this point, you don't know what cause of death is...yet post something to make it part of the conversation for Covid deaths by innuendo.  That's equally dishonest to the propaganda you hate from the other side.  Again, my first post on the subject was lamenting how politicized this and other "scientific" discussions have become.  If you want to hold others to a certain standard, you have to hold yourself to the same standard.

I didnt make a claim that it was any certain cause yet, but I certainly have my antennaes up every time i see a young athlete die.  Maybe it is political on my part, but since the day i nearly lost my lifetime job because a senile idiot decided he wanted to force the vaccine on me, i think its become necessary to fight back aggressively.

And, i also keep an eye out when something like this appears out of nowhere.

I could start nuking this thread with hundreds of links to support why Warp Speed saved the world. You lost me (and anyone left with an open mind) with the first link to Gateway Pundit.

There's nothing to see here but political bravado and pushing an agenda that will change nobodies mind.

I can't tell if you're being serious or this is a scene out of Conspiracy Theory.  What's odd about the FDA authorizing the vaccine variants that are formulated for both the original Covid strain and the Omicron variants (which are more prevalent at this point).  Is it a mystery why the approved flu vaccine changes every year?

Young athletes have been dying for years...it gets more airplay these days.  As the Boston Celtics about how the #1 player in the draft, Len Bias, played for the team.  It's certainly fair to ask the questions...but innuendo and conspiracy theories are hardly scientific evidence.  It's also fair to question the motives of people like Fauci.

Ooookay. Now everything makes sense....the zealotry, the conspiracy ridiculousness, the utterly stupefying links to complete garbage sources. He almost lost his job because he wouldn't get vaccinated. Being butthurt over that is completely separate than trying to very unsuccessfully convince this board about COVID vaccines. Glad you didn't lose your job, but c'mon......its a shot in the arm. Good lord.

I personally think anyone watching today's world with events like the overflowing border, the mysterious destruction of the Nordstream pipeline, the installation of a Puppet as our leader, and the unleashing of a worldwide virus and associated vaccine are simply simple and unable to see what's going on.  It's a green agenda supported by a virus that along with fraudulent voting allows the permanent power of both the Democrats and the Power Elite. We've been told over and over by many brilliant posters on here and elsewhere that Covid is NOT the flu.  Well, I happen to agree with you and I think it has a lot of similarities as a virus.  Your rationalization about the discontinuation is probably valid, but I never close the book when I see these things pop up without explanation. There can also be other drivers in play.

I'll just say flat out that the young athletes were not dying at a rate anywhere near where they are today.  I understand there's a lot of factors in play today in terms of speed of reporting that makes it easier to see these deaths.  But, when you look closer into the material the media attempts to hide from us, the rates of death in both athletes and around the world are spiraling upwards.  The most reliable indications come from the insurance industry and the all-death rates that are slowly finding their way into the data from some of the highest vaxxed countries in Europe and Israel. It's now showing up in the US>
