Good lord.  If he broke the law, he broke the law, being President doesn't make you immune.   Does anyone here falsify business records?

If NYC wants to prosecute businesses for illegal actions, they should.  The taxpayers should be happy that the city is prosecuting cheats, liars, and crooks.  That's where taxpayer money should go.  His CFO was found guilty, is there a witch hunt for Allan Weisselberg?  His attorney was found guilty of the crime of falsification.  Do we want accountability in the judicial system or not?

This is a weak case but still a case.  The bigger ones are coming, not just to derail his campaign, because he is a potential crook and fraud.  But if you feel that he needs money, donate to him for his campaign err legal fund.  Just make sure the campaign money isn't paid to pay off porn stars like it was in 2016

Let me guess, conservatives now want to defund the police and DOJ
let me ask,  why start here?  is he the biggest fish to fry?  is he the biggest crook in NY?   hell the statute of limitations on the case has past so its really a non-winable case for NY,  this is 100% about derailing his campaign and zero about justice in NY,  but like I said,  not my candidate, not my tax money,  but I am afraid that we will see more of this stupid bull shit in the future and the real losers will be the American voter/ tax payer.
Hi Jimmy -- I am truly interested in your view of our taxpayer money being used by Jim Jordan to investigate the $5k of federal money used in the NY Trump investigation.

Speaking of political spending of tax payer money, there were 7 congressional investigations regarding the Bengazi attacks at a taxpayer cost of $7 million dollars and what did McCarthy say about the results:

Quote:But the Benghazi probes had “done their job,” according to U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy, who had this to say about all of those investigations. He told Sean Hannity on Fox News, “Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she’s untrustable. But no one would’ve known any of that had happened had we not fought and made that happen.”

Your first ask,  I dont like it, but like I said,  using judicial action for political purposes,  which is all this is, is going to elicit politically  driven responses from the other party.  Who are the winners here and who are the losers?  The average tax paying voters doesn't come out ahead.

As far as benghazi,  that needed to be investigated based on the cluster fuck that it was that cost American lives,   should it have been done for political gains,  hell no,  but that shit show needed to be investigated and those involved should have been removed from service,  both professional and political.

But what does GatewayPundit think??
From the looks of it, GatewayPundit does a lot of thinking and writing about trans activists  . . . .  hmmm . .
But the delusional logic is that GatewayPundit is the same kind of outlet as CNN.com, lol. If you discredit all sources to equal levels, nothing is the truth!!
Yes, anyone who drills down and looks at this knows that the FEC not proceeding is not due to the evidence: "The commission’s decision, made public Thursday, was the result of a deadlock between Republican and Democratic members during a meeting in February. Four of the sitwitter.commissioners must agree to proceed with an action."

Oh, I'm not a fan of this particular witch hunt. I think its weak.....and I hate Trump. Is it illegal? Yes. But some people think this is a massive deal...it isn't. He's done FAR worse than this.

Having said this, my point still stands about GatewayPundit type outlets. Fucking garbage and isn't equitable to a CNN level bias. By any stretch.
Yah, my gut tells me he did some bad shit, but this is still a political play as much as a legal proceeding.

And I hate Trump, everything he represents and everything his movement has done to ruin the Republican party.

When are we going to hear from your FL boy DeSantis Sticky??? I'm hearing May?

I am with you Sticky on Gateway.  I don't think it is a massive deal -- I think the NY State civil suit is much more interesting and worthy.  I do find it very interesting that the Stormy situation as a whole is not considered disqualifying to many Republican voters.  How times have changed.  I always felt that this country believed that the ends do not justify the means.

Probably, PF. The GOP wants him as their guy, but Trump might fuck it up for them....that's the thing. Some people think Trump cares about them or the GOP. He couldn't give two shits. He'll burn it all down first and try and make himself look good in the process.

There are big and influential political powers that want DeSantis over Trump...I dont like a lot of what RDS does in gaslighting and portraying "woke" but he might be more palatable for many outside of FL than The Donald.

The bigger picture is simple - if Trump wins the nomination? The Republicans wont win the White House. I dont care how unpopular Joe is.

They already have way too much headwind when it comes to Abortion and while inflation remains high, the country just posted its 7 mos of inflation decreasing.

Look at the mid-term results.  Look at the Wi Supreme Court battle that just took place as a barometer of that. Big $ poured into that fight from across the country. Extreme stands politically and in regards to abortion fueled a double digit win for Protasiewicz.

It wasn't even close.

We have our political divides, but the fact remains that the majority of America don't like extremism on the left or right..

I hear ya, my point is I don't think Trump has a chance in hell on being the GOP nominee.....but he may cause a faction that won't vote for DeSantis and let the Democrats keep the White House.

I've been saying it for years.  Trump is either going to be the GOP candidate or he is going to tank the election for the GOP.

He's going to keep the grift going and take his 20% of the voters with him.  He will campaign all the way to the end, taking in money and avoiding legal issues.

He will go 3rd party, the "FREEDOM PARTY" and destroy the election for the republicans.

He's never been about party, he's never had one.  He's about Trump

Business records using campaign finance money for a federal election.  This isn't just fucking around on your local NYC taxes.
Exactly. A federal election. Charges were seen as to weak by a Biden appointed DOJ. To weak by a state DA’s office entirely occupied by Democrats.

There is no case. And I hate the pompous asshole.
You keep saying there is no case, yet laws were broken were they not?  Break out your legal expertise hat and tell us why no felony laws were broken here.  Tell us, why did Cohen go to jail?

It's fraud with intent.  The fraud was paying for "services rendered" which were fictional charges to cover up hush money payments made.

The question is why did he do it?  The intent was to stop information from being released to the press during an election cycle that could have been damaging to him.

If anyone of us did any of this, we would be charged with a crime.  He's no fucking different, nor is Biden, Hillary, Obama, Bush.
Read the charges

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-indic...york-read/

Notice the dates of the charged crimes?  January 14, 2017 and beyond.  So how exactly did these supposed crimes affect the Nov. 2016 election?

An honest question for those on the left.  Would Donald Trump be charged if he was a Democratic candidate?  Can you honestly say this isn't politically motivated? This is a DA that doesn't charge people even for serious crimes.  Paying "hush money" in return for an NDA.  Happens all the time. Can you admit the only way that Trump is found guilty is because he'll have a tough time getting a fair trial in Manhattan?  You would feel good about that?  I know you're used to not giving Trump a fair trial...we learned that through the two Impeachment hearings where he wasn't given the opportunity for Defense...unlike all previous impeachments.  How about the J6 "Investigation" comprised of people that hate Trump culminating with a made for tv event.  Where were the rebuttal witnesses?  It was a complete sham.

The campaign didn't pay Cohen...Trump Corporation did.  Let's see...a campaign paying for nefarious legal expenses to potentially alter an election.  Look no further than the other NY based candidate in that 2016 and the famous Steele Dossier.  C'mon you guys..admit it...you got a big charge out of discussing Trump peeing on prostitutes and potential penalties for Treason including death.  Except it never happened.

So...you don't think we should have investigated Benghazi?  Not just the Hillary part but security / facility operation, why the Ambassador was in a hot zone on Sept 11 in an unfortified outpost, etc.

Seems like a lot more reason to investigate that versus all the money spend on Russian Collusion by the various committees.  Everybody knew it was nonsense from the start...but that didn't stop the sham.  How unfortunate because that has now set the bar for political persecution.  We're entering into Third World country democracy at this point.  I'm old enough to remember when politicians from different parties could find common ground.  Those days are gone.
