Is that really that big of a mark for pro QB getting a running start at the throw?
i heard a yiung Joe Namath could throw a 60 yard rope from his knees. never saw him play but he supposedly had amazing arm strength
I asker a co worker that was a small school QB and played in NFL Europe,  and he said he could throw 70 pretty easy in college.  What was that kid from LSU about 10 years ago that went to the raiders,  didnt he throw like 70 from his knees or some such shit?  Had no smarts but a cannon for an arm.

Looks like the Vikes catch a break again.  Sure Allen will be missed throwing the ball, but he also leads the team in rushing too.  There's no way Case can run the offense the way Allen can.  Hopefully the Vikes can shut down the run then get after Case on obvious passing downs.
Agree. Allen has been error-prone the last couple weeks, but he forces a defense to play the whole field. You need to spy him AND you need to play deep. That's not the case with Case. Actually, I think it will be a similar defense to last week.
I haven't watched CK for a couple years,  does he not improvise with his legs as much as he once did?
No, he does! A lot. He's very similar to Heinicke in that. No deep arm with any kind of accuracy, nor is he a running QB who can get you 30, but he's deadly underneath and elusive in the pocket.

Uncle Rico could throw it over the mountain, or so he said.

Namath did have an amazing arm and his release was so quick.

Buffalo can play coy all they want, but what is the upside to rush Allen back? None. You have a decent backup and the game is at home against a good opponent who has a bunch of close victories. Its not like Buffalo can't win with Keenum. You'll need Allen for the stretch run and playoffs. It would be a colossally stupid move to play Josh Allen Sunday. I'll be shocked if it happens. One week out should be expected and that's this weekend.
