Isn't the challenge with this guy is GETTING THE BALL IN HIS HANDS?

I hope this deal gives him a new opportunity that he takes advantage of.  He's got a build to be a Deebo type, swing passes, screens.  That could be effective if you are worried about Jefferson taking you over the top, Adam opening up the deep middle.

If IRV and Jalen pan out to their abilities, this offense could be the best in the league.

The most weapons we have had since the 2009 team.
Hit route running is awful.
Yeah, I heard that is an issue. I think he can be a gadget guy with the Vikings because they didn't take him in the 1st round so he doesn't have to live up to anything in Minnesota. He'll never be a #1 WR.....or even a #2 probably.
I agree with this as well. He was a major reach I feel. I was not high on him coming out of college. His route running is absolutely garbage though. He will have a ceiling at being a good #3.
I mean Philly has Aaron Moorehead as a WR coach.  We have Keenan.  Plus two of the best route runners in the league.

Again, swing passes, screens, reverses, punt returning, kick returning won't require those skills so maybe he pans out specifically in those roles.  He's a little lighter than Deebo but has very similar physical numbers.

If this kid can't improve his route running here, he's a lost cause.
Just kind of reminds me of a Patterson type. I think his ceiling is very low. So many WRs just dont get the art of route running down. Its a skill that many can't master

Hopefully they will find other ways to utilize his speed. What I am really hoping is that working with McCardell as well as JJ, Adam and KJ will improve his route running too.

It would be nice seeing as Adam is running out of gas fast. I just dont see it. I see him as a potential 3 and a punt returner. So many WRs come out fast. How many fail? Many question marks with speed as their true asset with good measurables are drafted far too high and fail. That is why I wanted Jefferson coming out of the draft. Too many people get caught up with measurables with players that lack route running.

Salivating over a "cocky built" guy, eh?  I don't even know that term means so I won't start guessing. :p
Not just "cocky built" but "narrow. thick."

Imagine the storylines if Raegor actually turns into a good WR for us... Eagles would be like *insert crying Jordan meme*

Trade was worth it if he just becomes a good PR for us. Anything on top of that is just gravy.

It's not unheard of to have a rejected WR from Philly that turned things around as a Viking... just saying.  B)

I agree. If he can turn into a great slot guy for us that can make things happen with the ball in his hands, sweet! We traded for a PR with upside to possibly be more. The trade was nothing if you think about it. He most likely wont hit the marks for the 4th round pick anyways and probably be a 5th.

Vikings special teams coordinator Matt Daniels on Jalen Reagor, whom he has had respect for as a punt returner for some time: "He's a very stout, cocky-built guy. Narrow. Thick. Strong legs. Big glutes. Really nice calves. I was salivating over this dude."

Yuck Smile
