Yeah, Luke is a paragon of wisdom for sure.

He is clueless about most things he gets paid to pontificate about.  I surely don't give a shit about his stupid political takes.
lol, I agree greed. Luke Braun is lame.

The Catholic church also emphasizes sex for reproduction for women not for pleasure. There has been a great deal of shame and guilt for women enjoying sex. It also focuses on no premarital sex for women. Some of the denominations also focus on purity culture (for girls of course). This is psychologically damaging and harmful. There is a great deal of emphasis on female virginity as well. There is misogyny in various denominations. Storer also was in the practice of gynecology. There is a history of and still practices against women that are barbaric. Women of childbearing age have to fight to get hysterectomies. The so-called "husband stitch" is a form of female genital mutilation that is supposed to be illegal but still occurs. There is also opposition to women getting tubal ligation and of course opposition to birth control.
Obviously you know little of what the Catholic Church teaches.

But purity for both sexes is not damaging or harmful.  Porn, casual sex, abortion, those all have psychological harm.  Not having sex?  Lots of kids have survived over the generations without having casual sex.

Absolutely disgusting day for women everywhere. Bodily autonomy is still a fight, the power of self-determination is gone for many. Look for increase in poverty, child abuse, domestic violence, lack of access to care and self-induced abortion.
Shouldn't that be "menstruating person"?  Don't want you getting in trouble with the Woke pollice given the OP on this thread stated "So disgusted by the righrwing extremists forcing their wacko beliefs on everyone."
Jesus there are some dumbshits on this board.
On this board? The "menstruating person", "birth person" nonsense certainly isn't my idea.  I'm ok with the Kindergarten Cop definition of man and woman.

Here's MI Governor Whitmer discussing Roe and it's impact on "menstruating persons".

I watched  a panel host stumble all over themself trying to explain the difference in a coach and his team taking a knee for social justice and a coach and his team taking a knee in prayer.  Evidently, one is absolutely acceptable...and one is absolutely unnacceptable.

The Freedom from Religion Foundation is based right down the street from me here in Madison.  They work to ensure that God is out of our lives because evidently our Founding Fathers wanted to keep religion out of government...and not vice versa.  That's probably news to the Puritans.

and in this case,  the coach was doing the prayer on his own,  it was players that ASKED if they could join him.

And the line between Church and State in this country gets a little thinner today.  If you read the brief, students and athletes have expressed concerns about retribution by the coach and harassment from the community if you aren't interested in joining.

Let Matthew 6:6 be damned.  Jesus didn't know what he was talking about either.  Pray at the 50 yard line!

I wonder if he was a Muslim or a Satanist would this be as accepted.

well if it had happened to a Muslim,  I promise he wouldnt have been fired, and if he had.. the lower courts would have found in his favor ( as they should have ) as far as the Satanist,  cant say for sure on that one,  but that might have come down to if there was a goat or not.

This is the crux of the problem. Its why it wasn't originally allowed. It seem harmless enough on its face, but its why there is separation between Church and State.

i dont buy that harrassment crap,  we had team prayers 30 years ago,  if you joined you joined if you didnt you didnt... hell not even all the coaches took part.  In this day and age I dont think anybody is really going to say much about somebody not taking part in a prayer,  certainly not as offensive as when people openly disrespect the American flag IMO.

Honestly that argument is pretty weak for this specific example considering the coach was fired for what he says started as him taking a knee for a personal moment of prayer.  If this was some kind of community that would have targeted non participants I find it highly unlikely that the coach would have been fired.
