bump stock was made illegal...hence is illegal, no longer allowed, so no longer pertinent to the conversation.
the 223 is one of the most popular sporting/varmint rounds on the market, you refer to it as its military name, the 5.56. same round, like I said hugely popular for a variety of sporting reasons.
you want to talk about high cap mags, I wont argue, IMO anything more than a 10 round mag alters the weight/balance of the gun to much, and takes away from accuracy. I will say though that a trained and practiced person with multiple mags can get off 30 shots nearly as quickly as the inexperienced person with 1-30 round mag. honestly IMO the only reason many people push back against mag capacity limits is because those pushing for gun control dont seem to be able to show any limits or rationale to their demands. Look at your post, you talk about the AR as if its some super gun that is beyond what a hunting/sporting gun is capable of. it is nothing more than a semi automatic rifle. everything else you see is plastic to make you think its something its not... and it apparently works because there are so many that have the same irrational comments about its capabilities. its nothing more than a semi auto varmint hunter in a warriors clothing.
I tend to resist talk of more restrictions simply because of the dishonest talking points from the opposition. I would support mag limits at 10 rounds if I honestly thought that would be the end of it, but I am fairly certain that it woudnt end there.
