What does that calculate out to in terms of babies/hours fed?
I have to think...not many.  especially when this is being delivered to hospitals and pharmacies, and not to retail sites,  of course i am sure if it hit retail sources it would be hoarded anyway so....

I know this wouldnt work for all situations,  but when I read that it was going to hospitals my first thought was dont these women have breasts?  in most instances mothers are provided naturally with everything that baby needs to survive for a long time.
Not every woman is able to breastfeed. Some have medical issues. Some don't produce enough milk. Some work and some workplaces are not that accommodating. Of course there are women that are breastfeeding. There are also women that have an abundance of supply of breast milk and donate it.

Just sick of the hypocrisy.  Either killing is wrong or it isn't.  Why are we surprised these kids learned that life has no meaning?  And why are we so surprised when they act on it?
Ridiculous. Not everyone agrees that a pregnancy, a fertilized egg, a clump of cells, is a human being deserving of all the rights and protections under the law.
Or that women should have bodily autonomy or be able to exercise their right to choose. There are people in power that do not want women to have ownership over their own bodies. They believe that the woman should not have all rights and protections under the law. And there are more laws being pushed supporting this.

The hypocrisy is that once there is actually a baby, all bets are off, pro-life is not an issue then. You want or need help with housing, education, healthcare or employment screw you. Another elementary school shooting and there is no action. There are states allowing the right to carry without a license or training. We are definitely going backwards.
That is such a red herring.  Ownership over their bodies?  Give me a break.  The baby isn't their body, it is the baby's body.

And pro-life people are more generous than their pro-abortion counterparts.  They just give their own money instead us using the gov't to take yours and spend it on bureaucracy.

As for right to carry without license or training?  You think this murder gave a damn about a license?  And how would training help save lives there?

So many red herrings we need a bigger boat.
As a legal gun owner,  I will have serious talks about more gun restrictions when 2 things happen first,   1. I want to see the existing laws enforced,  in about every instance there are existing laws in place that could have helped prevent many of the tragedies we have seen,  its pointless to enact more laws if the existing ones arent being enforced. Second,  lets first have a real adult discussion on why these things are happening and have a real discussion on how to better prevent mass casualty incidents instead of simply trying to take the tool away from the very significant majority that use those tools legally.  taking away guns wont stop murders,  man has been killing man since the beginning of time,  there are areas where guns are harder to get,  so they use bombs,  did we ban Uhauls after OKC bombing that killed/injured so many?  No, we looked for better ways to prevent those bent on those types of activities from obtaining them,  we profiled the problem,  not the tool.

hence my "this wouldnt work for all situations"   I am very aware of the extremely rare instances where the mother is not able to breast feed, or the child is allergic.   but this formula being delivered to hospitals isnt going to help the much larger group that made an unfortunate conscious decision not to breast feed,  have stopped lactating, and now have a formula dependent baby.  I think the lesson to be learned from this is to be less dependent on convenience and return to being more self sustaining.

How many people can plant a garden or hunt/raise their own food?   Hell how many people can take raw food products like flour, sugar, raw fruits and veggies, raw meat, and make things like bread, pasta, or prepare meals from scratch?  IMO this formula thing is just the tip of the iceberg and based on the way the grocery store shelves look,  theres gonna be some hunger issues for more than just infants.

Absolutely got your point, I just expanded on it. From the CDC in a brief search, 8 in 10 women were breastfeeding in 2016. It may have changed since then. But there are still babies in need. I know people are being told not to use homemade formula.

I definitely agree on the additional food issues that you mentioned. There are also food deserts where certain communities have limited access to affordable and nutrition food. There is definitely a ripple effect. These issues are going to continue.

Exactly.  More laws don't stop lawbreakers.  This kid had a history of violence.  If he had any semblance of parents, he wouldn't have been walking the streets.

And there were plenty of cops on site.  But none would do their sworn duty to protect innocent lives.

You can't even say it's "pro-life", more "pro-birth" which screams nothing but selfishness.  Get raped?  You are having it.  Have a birth control failure?  You are having it.  A risk of the mother's death?  Guess what, you are having it.

Ok, now that you have had it, pull yourself up by your bootstraps and good luck.  We aren't supporting the social net to keep that child out of a cyclone of despair which has an economic, crime, and health care costs.  Fuck, there was major pushback on supporting legislation for baby formula.  WTF America

It's hard to tell which way the politicians lean, are you for "economics" and a "safer America"?  If so you should be reasonable with abortion laws.

America's politics are a dumpster fire, across the board.

You can feel it, a civil war / union split, a division is coming.  People much smarter than you and I on this message board in the Canadian defense services are preparing plans for America's demise.

There is nothing to unite us, the media and politicians continue to divide us, the internet strips meaning and exacerbates echo chambers.

It's going to be a shit show for a long time here.

Just so we're clear you'd like to kill babies in the name of "economics and safety"?  Why stop at pre-birth? There's plenty of high crime districts where we could "abort" a bunch of post birth kids and lower crime and spending.

On baby formula, turn off MSNBC.  Republicans and Democrats passed 414-9 a bill to purchase safe baby formula from Europe the very same day as your rant above.  The vote that failed was one to give the FDA $28M more tax dollars without any strings.  Nothing that said they needed to go towards getting the Abbott plant (the one with the bacterial problem) back up and running.  Nothing that even addressed baby formula.  Just a big bag of cash for the FDA to use on whatever they wanted.
The obvious answer for baby formula was to go purchase more from other countries that had extra and waive our FDA labeling requirements, (which is what was holding buying it up in the first place) especially when the EU's requirements were more stringent then our own.
The original republican position in Roe vs Wade was for abortion as it was a form of population control.  Yes, I do believe that poor and under educated people have a greater propensity for making mistakes or being careless.  That leads to more children born (WHO DIDN'T ASK TO BE BORN) into poorer economic situations.  Maligned economics are tied to crime, regardless of skin tone, etc.   Not only do we have more kids being born in a system with the deck stacked higher against them, it also limits the potential of the mothers as well.  So because of the limits on abortion, we now have two people who are going to suffer.  The economic impact of abortion is not a debate, it's a consensus from economists.

I brought it up as the party who cares more about economic growth, allegedly lower health care costs, and lowering crime is voting against those interests from the statistical lens by supporting an abortion ban.

Regarding the baby formula legislation, you still had 9 republicans who voted against WIC and providing access for those families.  Are those families not in need?  Are they not Americans as well?  Why no outrage for those GOP leaders?  Why is Matt Gaetz against these kids having access to food, god knows he loves fucking them.

Let's just be honest, there is a party in this country that wants to use a lot of money to help out the helpless (maybe too obsessed), and the other only cares if they are born or not and how productive they can be without government assistance.

Those babies DIDN'T ASK TO BE KILLED either.

As to the GOP that voted against it, it only matters if you think this was a real solution to the problem and not just a teeny bandaid on a gushing artery.  How many babies/hours were fed?  And why did Biden say tons instead of pounds?

Let's just be honest, there is a party in this country that wants to use a lot of money to help out the helpless (maybe too obsessed), and the other only cares if they are born or not and how productive they can be without government assistance.
when you are ready to start,   go ahead.

I mean damn.  The coke bottle thick blue shades on Skodin.

Neither party gives even a minuscule of shit about any one of us lol.

That is some honest truth right there.
