And now the Bears have requested a 2nd interview with Poles.
Ownership consideration:

McCaskey family led by 100 year old mother  vs the Wilf family.

I'm pretty sure we have the edge if we both want someone at GM

Chiefs’ executive director of player personnel Ryan Poles, one of two finalists for the Vikings’ GM job, now is being asked to interview a second time for the Bears’ GM job, per league source.

If you're worried, think back to the clip of McCasky talking about Kruetz.

Give me the player personnel guy, but he better leave Bienemy in KC
Since Poles knows Bienemy better than any other potential GM candidate it could actually make Bienemy less likely to get the job here.  Because of his familiarity with Bienemy, I would feel pretty confident in either direction he decided to go as he is not going to put his first GM job at risk unless he is very certain about the hire.

I can see the Bears not letting Poles out of the building beating us to the punch, knowing our interest.

THEN...

We sign Mensah, and the Wilf’s release the “We got our guy” bullshit

Also quarterback situation, facilities and willingness to spend (especially upfront payments).

The Vikings know Bienemy. He coached in Minnesota. There's a reason he's not getting many HC interviews. Lets leave it in the rearview.

Not endorsing Bieniemy, but Zach Taylor didn't call plays either.

But, the fact that Bieniemy has been the bridesmaids for so long gives me pause.

I still cannot believe the Vikings did not give me an interview especially after I sent them this presentation ...

A little birdie says Mensah & Mark Wilf are both Princeton graduates, not that it matters…  Wink
