My best buddy works for Pfizer and understands their effect on what is being “sold” to the American public at this point. Big Pharma leads the governments response to this pandemic. Therapeutics looking very similar to Ivermectin are suddenly being approved and will only cost $700 more per month. I’m sure you also think it’s hunky dory that Blue Cross Blue Shield is threatening medical personnel and facilities with refusal of coverage if therapeutics such as Ivermectin are utilized, despite being highly effective in sample sizes in the millions of people. And it’s just a coincidence that the govt now fact checks Social Media and Print Media and/or directs them what they can and cannot say.

Focusing on this game: 5-6 rookie QBs have started this year and most have looked bad. I don’t think one bad start causes some catastrophic harm to Mond’s development, value, or confidence like you seem to imply. Otoh, it could boost all of those things. For me it’s worth the risk for both Mond the player, and for the Vikings team when the alternative is Mannion.
Hopefully even if he doesn’t start we see him play a lot.
When one option is proven incompetent, the unproven option is preferable.

I dont 100% agree with what you’re saying but conceptually I think I do. Zim knows what he has in Mannion but what’s worse is the fans do too…he’s not a starter. Zim thinks he’s fighting for the playoffs when in reality, if he starts Mond and succeeds, he will look like a genius. Mond comes out and wins the game then it really was Cousins who was to blame and they play the Bears for the playoffs. Reality? Mannion starts, vikes lose by double digits, i drink 15 beers and get all pissy and we have the same Cousins conversation next week.

I like Zimmer, but that is certainly one of his faults IMO... just isn't willing to trust a rookie until they are forced into the field and have some success. The worst part is Mond was drafted for this role... I don't know if this means Mond is that far off or if Zimmer is just more comfortable starting a "vet" (with 2 career starts *eye roll*).
Hopefully Mond gets into the game on Sunday or I might black out and puke all over the Packer fans in front of me.
